For the third consecutive year, The Washington Postselected the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™ as one of Washington's top places to work. The 2016 honorees - announced in the June 17 edition of The Washington Post - are selected based on employee feedback from an independent survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics, LLP, gauging satisfaction with benefits, workplace diversity, leadership and overall employment experience.

"To be included on the Washington Post Top Workplaces list three years in a row is a great honor," said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA. "At CTA, we strive to provide as many avenues as possible for employee success, both professionally and personally, and reflect the dynamism and excitement of the industry we represent. Our hardworking staff is dedicated to giving their best to grow the consumer technology industry - and CTA is committed to ensuring a healthy, balanced and positive lifestyle for our entire team."

Ranked among The Post's top four workplaces for mid-sized companies, CTA strongly promotes work/life balance throughout its culture. Among the notable benefits:
Flexible work arrangements
50 percent reimbursement of employee's broadband bill
Metro subsidy of up to $255 per month
Bike storage and discounted parking for employees who carpool to work
Onsite gym with complimentary boot camp and yoga classes offered four days a week
"CTA continues to create and promote a unique workplace culture with progressive policies and engagement across the organization," said Glenda MacMullin, COO and CFO, CTA. "Management and senior staff maintain a company-wide open-door policy, allowing our employees at any level to come to them with concerns or ideas about improving life at CTA. In fact, based on internal feedback, we recently began offering employees the option of standing desks to better accommodate their physical needs. Also, we encourage personal and professional development through our in-house mentorship programs, internal Lunch-and-Learn sessions and a tuition reimbursement program."

Among the unique benefits for employees, the Mortgage Assistance Program offers CTA employees a $25,000 unsecured, forgivable loan to apply toward a down payment on the purchase of a primary residence located within a five mile radius of CTA's headquarters. The plan helps encourage a shorter commute to and from work.
