Salon Peachy: Mover and Shaker Julien Farel's Julien Farel Restore Salon and Spa Continues to Be Highly Recommended for Haircolor by Whom You Know! Bravo Julien and Advanced Colorist Lila Carlino!
"I'm sorry to hear about what has happened to my country and I feel very sad. It's very cruel and it's even hard to explain and to imagine people can be that cruel. We cannot even call them animals because animals only kill to eat and it's always innocent people:
the people from many countries, the families, the children
who are affected by such tragedy."
-Julien Farel
We are much more concerned with the quality of life and safety in France, and in the USA and other civilized countries of course, than our hair. We've been keeping France in our prayers and hope you have been too. For more on this subject, we highly recommend Ray Kelly's book:
Ray Kelly would earn our vote for any political office...and you know
always, always, always it is not who you know.
It's WHOM You Know, and hair is a hot topic on this website in Salon Peachy, bien sur mes amies.
Julien wanted to be interviewed in April 2009 when no one had heard of whomyouknow.com, and before we had done many reviews. Whom You Know began January 25, 2009. We are thankful for everyone that we work with, however, it is much more convincing to work with us now than it was when we were only a few months old, and we really value those that did or we never could have started.
Julien as a Mover and Shaker:
and his wife, Suelyn, as a Mover and Shaker:
In our first review of Julien Farel Restore Salon and Spa, Gyna colored our hair and we were really happy with her:
The day and time Peachy had wanted to visit this time, we were told that Gyna was not available and we were happy to work with advanced colorist Lila Carlino, who did equally fantastic work.
It is of utmost importance to speak to everyone involved about your haircolor goals before anything is executed on your hair to ensure the best results and make sure everyone is on the same page.
Julien and Lila were happy to do this, and we understand that Lila specializes in blondes.
At the start, Julien commented: "Your hair looks a little brassy so we need to make sure we correct that. We're going to fix your roots and we're going to give you some sunkisses to revive the summer!"
As you know, we publish on the positive so we never take "before" pictures. Only after! It had been two months since our last visit, and in life, Peachy's hair had become oxidized, and it had obviously grown.
We have no idea how tiny parts of Peachy's hair could possibly be growing in silver, but they magically disappeared at the Julien Farel Restore Salon and Spa, which is ultimately relaxing with the beige everywhere and beloved massaging chair when you get your hair washed. This time we drank water and not champagne because it was a very hot day.
Lila began with brushing L'Oreal ammonia-free on the roots #7 brown with no red-ashy brown!
If you have read Salon Peachy before, you know that Peachy dislikes red hair on herself much more than silver so ensuring no red is really important to her. Both Lila and Gyna did wonderful work in red avoidance.
For highlights, a sandy blond was applied and they are thinner towards the top and thicker towards the bottom so it will mimic what the sun would do if you were at the beach, said Lila.
Wella blond with 30 volume and 871 lowlight by Wella to create contrast was used in expert fashion by Lila on Peachy's hair.
Lila looks at skin tone, what color lipstick you wear, what color jewelry you have on to decide what looks best on the person specifically. Shab Aghajani blew out Peachy's hair; we understand she specializes in hair extensions.
After pictures:
Lila has been with Julien for two years and a colorist for six years and she is fabulous.
Whom You Know Highly Recommends Julien Farel's Lila for Haircolor and Highlights!
