CTA Mourns the Loss of Tech Pioneer Blake Krikorian
The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™mourns the death of consumer technology pioneer Blake Krikorian, co-founder of Sling Media and former member of CTA's Board of Industry Leaders. The following statement is attributed to Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CTA:
"Blake was an extraordinary entrepreneur and imaginative mind, who envisioned place-shifting content via the Slingbox. His innovative work lives on with the millions of people who enjoy the video content they purchased, no matter where they are in the world.
"Although he was always busy and successful, Blake volunteered on the CTA Board of Industry leaders and was always willing to volunteer by mentoring, judging startup competitions and donating to our political action committee. He achieved success at a very young age, but always remembered his roots and reached out to give a hand to those who needed it.
"Our condolences go out to his family, his friends and all those whose lives he touched."
