With the final stages of the pack up process still under way in Portsmouth, it’s already time to look ahead to the next spectacular Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series event, this time in Toulon, France, taking place from 9th to 11th September off the beautiful Mediterranean coast.

This will be the first time in America’s Cup history that Toulon has hosted an America’s Cup event, and the first stop in French waters for the current Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series campaign.

All the teams will be keen to make a mark on the event in the heart of the bay of Toulon, none more so than Groupama Team France who had an up and down weekend in Portsmouth, including a damaged boat on Friday, a race win on Saturday and then a tough Sunday.

Land Rover BAR will want to maintain their series lead and momentum from Portsmouth, ORACLE TEAM USA will be fighting harder than ever for their first Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series event win, having come so close in the UK, but it will be Groupama Team France who will be most looking forward to Toulon as it is their home event.

Racing in front of a home crowd will mean as much to Franck Cammas and his crew as it does to every other team when they race on home waters, but with sailing such a high profile sport in France, performing well in front of such a passionate, knowledgeable audience will be of extra importance to Groupama Team France. In addition, the Toulon event will be the second to last of the 2016 calendar year as the season heads towards its dénouement in Fukuoka, Japan in November.

Tickets are available for the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series Toulon from here http://acws-toulon.americascup.com/en/tickets.html - do not miss out!
