Annual Event to Showcase Latest in Global Travel Trends January 27-29, 2017
The New York Times today announced that registration is open for the 2017 New York Times Travel Show, the largest and longest-running trade and consumer travel show in North America. The event will take place from Friday, Jan. 27 to Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Tickets are available at NYTimes.com/TravelShow.
“Welcome to the World” is the theme for this year’s Travel Show, where industry experts and travel enthusiasts come together to share the latest travel news, trends and inspiration for the year ahead. The Travel Show features more than 525 exhibitors from around the world and is expected to draw more than 30,000 attendees.
Highlights of the 2017 New York Times Travel Show
Travel for the Mind, Body and Soul - For a second year, the 2017 Travel Show will feature a Wellness Travel Pavilion, including a Best Life Stage, Get Fit Zone, and various booths. Each day, the pavilion will host and showcase leading experts in the wellness travel industry, including hotels, resorts, spas and other organizations.
Family First - New for 2017 is The Family Travel Pavilion featuring exhibit booth space, a Presentation stage and a kids demonstration area. The pavilion will showcase leading players in the Family travel space, including lodges, resorts, destinations, cruise lines and dude ranches. The New York Times Travel Show is proud to announce the Family Travel Association is an Industry Sponsor of the inaugural Family Travel Pavilion at the 2017 Show.
Trade Day - The first day of the Travel Show on Friday, Jan. 27 is reserved exclusively for travel industry professionals and members of the media. The day will include expert seminars, which will inform travel professionals of the latest industry products and services, destination information and consumer trends.
New Seminars - Saturday, Jan. 28, and Sunday, Jan. 29 will be open to all attendees and feature various cultural presentations and performances, food demonstrations, and one-on-one conversations with travel experts and influencers on topics such as global travel tips for women and LGBT travel. 2016 Travel Show Highlights
In 2016, the Travel Show welcomed 110 new exhibitors, which featured more than 525 exhibitors from around the world. The 2016 show saw the highest attendance in nine years, with over 29,000 attendees. More than 900 members of the media attended the 2016 Travel Show, gaining insights from the Travel Show’s exclusive Trade Day seminars and Focus Conferences, as well as experiencing the two days of consumer events that featured nearly 275 travel industry speakers and experts.
