HOCKEY HALL OF FAME INDUCTS FOUR NEW MEMBERS

LIGHTNING SWEEP SEASON SERIES VS. ISLANDERS
Tampa Bay scored twice in a span of 42 seconds late in the first period and Andrei Vasilevskiy denied all 34 shots he faced as the Lightning defeated the Islanders for the third time this month.
* The Lightning recorded their seventh consecutive victory over the Islanders dating to Game 2 of the 2016 Second Round. Tampa Bay outscored New York 14-2 in winning all three games of their 2016-17 season series.
* Nikita Kucherov (1-1—2) and Steven Stamkos (0-2—2) each picked up a pair of points in the win. They collected 4-3—7 and 2-4—6, respectively, in three games against the Islanders this season.

The NHL announced that Maple Leafs Alumni and Red Wings Alumni will face-off outdoors in Toronto on New Year’s Eve in the 2017 Rogers NHL Centennial Classic Alumni Game. A limited number of tickets for the event go on sale today at 10 a.m. ET . . . The Coyotes announced plans for a new arena in Tempe, Arizona . . . Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask, Jets forward Mark Scheifele and Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne were named the NHL’s “Three Stars” for the week ending Nov. 13.

HIGHLIGHTS OF TUESDAY’S 13-GAME SLATE
* The League-leading Canadiens (13-2-1, 27 points) host the Panthers (7-7-1, 15 points) at Bell Centre looking to join the 1963-64 Blackhawks (11-0-0) as the only teams in NHL history to win each of their first 11 home games to start a season.
* The top two teams in the Central Division meet when the Blackhawks (11-3-2, 24 points) visit the Jets (8-7-2, 18 points). Chicago is 9-0-2 in its past 11 games, while Winnipeg has a point in four straight (3-0-1).
* The Metropolitan Division-leading Rangers (12-4-0, 24 points) aim to maintain their hot start to the season when they continue a four-game road trip in Vancouver. New York has won 12 of its first 16 games for the second time in their 90-year history and for the second straight campaign, following a 14-2-2 start in 2015-16.
