FANS ELECT DIVISION CAPTAINS FOR 2017 HONDA NHL ALL-STAR GAME
Forwards Sidney Crosby of the Penguins and Connor McDavid of the Oilers, defenseman P.K. Subban of the Predators and goaltender Carey Price of the Canadiens topped their respective divisions in fan votes in the 2017 NHL All-Star Fan Vote to earn the first spots and captaincy in the 2017 Honda NHL All-Star Game in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 29.

BLUE JACKETS EXTEND WIN STREAK TO 16 GAMES, ONE SHY OF NHL RECORD
Three different skaters scored to help Columbus extend their franchise-record win streak to 16 games, the second-longest single-season win streak in NHL history behind only Pittsburgh’s 17-game run from March 9 – April 10, 1993.

* The League-leading Blue Jackets (27-5-4, 58 points) also extended their franchise-record overall point streak to 18 games (17-0-1) and home win streak to eight games, establishing another club record.

* Sergei Bobrovsky (21 saves) extended his career-high and franchise-record win and point streaks to 14 and 16 games (15-0-1), respectively. Bobrovsky (25-5-2; 1.92 GAA, .934 SV%, 3 SO) paces all goaltenders with 25 wins this season.

* Nick Foligno (3-7—10), Brandon Saad (3-5—8) and Alexander Wennberg (2-6—8) each extended their point streak to six games.

* The Blue Jackets will look to match the longest single-season win streak in NHL history when they visit the Capitals on Thursday (7 p.m. ET; CSN-DC, FS-O).

OVECHKIN CLIMBS ALL-TIME LISTS AS CAPITALS RALLY PAST MAPLE LEAFS
The Capitals overcame deficits of 4-2 and 5-4 in the third period and Alex Ovechkin scored 22 seconds into overtime en route to their third straight win.

* Ovechkin scored his 19th career regular-season overtime goal to move into a tie with Jaromir Jagr for the most in NHL history.

* Elias notes that Ovechkin recorded his 94th career game-winning goal (sixth this season) to pass Johnny Bucyk, Sergei Fedorov and Joe Nieuwendyk (93) and tie Steve Yzerman for 12th on the NHL’s all-time list.

* Ovechkin (543-452—995) climbed within one goal of tying Maurice Richard (544) for 29th on the NHL’s all-time list and five points of reaching the 1,000-point milestone.

WEBER HELPS CANADIENS EARN VICTORY IN RETURN TO NASHVILLE 
Playing his first game in Nashville since joining the Canadiens, Shea Weber netted the tying goal in the third period and Max Pacioretty scored with 29.8 seconds remaining in overtime to help Montreal improve to 2-1-2 on their season-long seven-game road trip.

* Pacioretty scored his seventh career regular-season overtime goal to tie Aurele Joliat, Howie Morenz, John Gagnon and Saku Koivu for the most in franchise history.

* Alexander Radulov (0-2—2), who was also facing his former team for the first time, assisted on both Montreal goals.

* ICYMI: The Predators aired a tribute video honoring Weber, who played 11 seasons with the Predators including six as team captain.

LOOSE PUCKS
Nikolaj Ehlers (2-1—3) and Patrik Laine (1-2—3) each collected three points to lead the Jets to victory . . . Kings forward Jeff Carter (1-1—2) scored his 21st goal of the season to move into sole possession of second in the NHL and assisted on Tanner Pearson’s overtime winner . . . Michael Cammalleri, Adam Henrique and Kyle Palmieri each collected 1-1—2 to help New Jersey snap Carolina’s home point streak at 11 games (10-0-1) . . . Justin Bailey scored the first goal of his NHL career (12 GP) to help the Sabres pick up a 4-1 win . . . Lightning forward Matthew Peca also scored the first goal of his NHL career (4 GP) . . . Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews (0-2—2) extended his point streak to seven games (6-5—11) . . . William Nylander (2-4—6 in 6 GP), Nikita Kucherov (2-7—9 in 5 GP), Teuvo Teravainen (1-4—5 in 5 GP) and Zach Hyman (0-6—6 in 5 GP) also extended point streaks . . . Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, Penguins center Evgeni Malkin and Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk were named the NHL’s “Three Stars” for the month of December . . . Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews, who led all rookies with 8-4—12 in 12 games, was named the NHL's Rookie of the Month for December . . . The Devils will honor the late Dr. John McMullen by making him the first inductee into their Ring of Honor.

RANGERS, FLYERS CLASH ON RIVALRY NIGHT
NBCSN’s Wednesday Night Rivalry features a Metropolitan Division matchup between the Rangers (26-13-1, 53 points) and Flyers (20-14-5, 45 points) at Wells Fargo Center. Philadelphia enters the contest looking to snap a four-game slide (0-3-1), while New York leads the NHL with 13 road wins this season (13-6-0, 26 points). The Rangers have won four consecutive games against the Flyers dating to Jan. 16, 2016 (PHI: 0-2-2), including a 3-2 win in their first meeting of the 2016-17 season.
