From China Daily to Chengdu; Vinitaly International continues its mission in China

Vinitaly and Ningxia wine bureau joins forces to push educational and promotional initiatives forward

Stevie Kim, Managing Director of Vinitaly International flew to Ningxia, the fastest growing wine region in central China where she visited a diverse group of wine producers aiming at the highest quality of production. “I think the potential of the Chinese market is actually highly dependent on the production of Chinese wines. Once they start to truly appreciate their own local Chinese wines, many more doors will open for wines from other countries”, explains Stevie Kim.

Her visit also marked the start of a new project in which Vinitaly and the Ningxia wine bureau will join forces to develop educational and promotional initiatives allowing Vinitaly to deliver quality Italian wines to Ningxia and vice versa.

Vinitaly returns to Chengdu!

From the 19th to the 22rd of March 2017, Vinitaly International returns to Chengdu for the fourth consecutive year and will be held for the second time at the Shangri-La Hotel. It is on the occasion of the International Wine and Spirits Show, the off-site showcase of “China Food and Drinks Fair for Wine and Spirits” and one of the most important B2B events in the Chinese wine sector, now at its 95th edition.

Vinitaly China – Chengdu will be hosting the very first off-site showcase dedicated to fine wines in the history of Chengdu’s trade fair. It will offer a rich and engaging program with the goal of attracting qualified and professional buyers.

This year’s edition will also include Masterclasses and the Vinitaly International Academy Executive Wine Seminars presented in collaboration with the most important Chinese importers of Italian Wine.
