Fully booked! The International Leather Goods Fair I.L.M is pursuing its successful course. The upcoming event of the leading trade show for bags, accessories, and travel luggage takes place from March 4 to 6, 2017 in Offenbach where about 300 exhibitors from 25 countries are expected. Core topic is the new collection for Autumn/Winter 2017/18. The ground of the exhibition halls covering about 13,000 sq m is fully booked up to the last inch. Unfortunately the Capitol directly neighboring the fair area that in September had been made available with another 500 sq m for 22 exhibitors is not available for the March event. Half of the providers could, however, be integrated in the fair halls. Luckily the Capitol can again be used as additional exhibition space for our September event – Summer Styles, September 2 to 4, 2017.
Increasing Internationality
The share of international suppliers has again risen and is now at 53% (+2% in comparison to the preceding year). Not only the suppliers from the US and the Netherlands more and more show their flags in Offenbach, but the fashion-oriented Italian bag designers have definitely increased. “We are looking forward to renowned Italian suppliers who have not been present before at the I.L.M and who certainly contribute to upgrade the fashionability of the fair”, explains Arnd Hinrich Kappe, Managing Director of the Messe Offenbach. Moreover, the constantly integrated group of exhibitors, the network Goldkrone, comes up with an increasing number of members.
Dealers and exhibitors appreciate the I.L.M as the meeting point for the industry and as an operative fair with a high practical relevance. “The success of the I.L.M is not least based on the constant participation of our longstanding exhibitors”, says Arnd Hinrich Kappe. “We spare no effort to guarantee a high reliability for exhibitors and visitors. The event dates for 2017 have been made public as early as at the beginning of 2016 that created predictability and certainty in an otherwise rather turbulent environment.”
The ample show of new collections is completed by a fascinating frame program. Useful hints for the dispositions of the trade visitors are given at the daily trend lecture and the fashion shows that are running in two clearly divided categories „Bag World“ and „Travel World“ twice a day each. More precise and competent fashion information can be found in the I.L.M Lookbook. With its new concept and close reference to the categories and trend topics of the shows the trade gets ordering information and a valuable tool for sales talks and staff trainings. The popular Chill Out Party on the Saturday evening again invites to a relaxed coming together. The I.L.M Winter Styles 2017 expects about 6,000 trade visitors from over 50 countries.
