Sometimes we all need a bit of a pick-me-up in the doldrums of winter: especially after a blizzard. Sometimes it's in the form of caffeine.

Other times it's in the form of updated haircolor.

But it can be both when you visit expert Lila Carlino of Julien Farel, one of the best colorists we've worked with.

You can't stay inside forever and aren't you just dying to go out and get your hair done?

Thanks to Lila and Julien, again starting after we left the salon in following days people thought Peachy was still in college, which is a great thing today. It was less great when she was 20 and people thought she was 13. But when you have the right colorist that knows what they're doing, it's bound to happen to your delight. "Today we're going to touch up the roots. I'm not going to darken it any more," explains Lila Carlino. "I like this color for spring color. The fading worked well on you naturally. The bits of lightness that shine through now are perfect and we're going to just touch up the roots. We'll use 6N by L'Oreal Richesse and gloss it with six gold, also L'Oreal (6G).

"Spring haircolor for brunettes is bronze-colored highlights: warm, metallic, light ends. For blondes, I've seen more platinum blondes and ashy tones also. For redheads, coppery reds with golden blonde highlights work well." Lila has excellent taste; you will feel comfortable working with her because not only are we telling you she is talented and showing you the results each time which speak for themselves, but you can see from her hair and overall put-together classy style that she will care that you look your best too.

"Keep your hair moisturized; use moisturizing conditioners during this extended winter going into spring," reminds Lila. As we await spring, make sure your haircolor is at its best!
