In conjunction with the 2017 September fashion week, which is marked by an outstanding coordination between the sector’s trade shows, WHITE MILANO, the trade show sponsored by the Municipality of Milan, has added a day to its calendar to act synergistically with all the other sector’s players, thus making Milan increasingly appealing for international buyers.

For the September 2017 Milanese fashion week, WHITE MILANO’s womenswear edition is due to open on Friday 22nd September and close on the following Monday. The main Italian fashion trade show dedicated to womenswear collections and contemporary accessories – which can currently boast over 500 exhibitors and more than 22thousand visitors - has added, for this important edition, an additional day in view of the new-fangled synergy between the calendars of Milano Moda Donna and of the sector’s trade-fairs like Mipel, The Micam, The One Milano, which will coincide with almost the entire duration of the fashion shows. An important event, which coordinates the whole fashion system with the support offered by the Institutions to turn Milan into a symbol of the Made in Italy and to facilitate and favor the involvement of the international press and buyers. As well as renewing its buyer-oriented format with a four-day formula, WHITE will organize, within the tradeshow, a series of events and live happenings to present their international scouting activities to the fashion insiders in a more dynamic and interactive way, thus making it more accessible for and from the social media.

Considering the significance of this great agreement, resulting from the relentless activity performed by the Minister for Economic Development Carlo Calenda, Undersecretary Ivan Scalfarotto, ITA- Italian trade Acency, the main Italian Trade-fairs of the sector, as well as the Municipality of Milan to enhance the national fashion system and make it more competitive with other worldwide platforms, WHITE MILANO’s board, bearing in mind the growing number of exhibitors and requests by operators and buyers alike, and, most importantly, in order to comply with the synergist strategy undertaken by MISE, has decided, on occasion of the next September edition, to extend its calendar by one day, namely Friday.

Since its foundation WHITE MILANO has always represented the window for innovative entrepreneurship, as it has always cooperated with the fashion companies to promote them in Italy and abroad through an innovative format and the partnership underwritten with Confartigianato Imprese, conceived to develop business and communication opportunities for Italian businesses abroad.

«This important synergy among the sector’s insiders will make the Milanese fashion week more appealing. This is a very strong signal testifying the renaissance the city of Milan, and more broadly the Country, is undergoing. Despite the indisputable success of the three-day formula of the womenswear and menswear shows - declares Massimiliano Bizzi, founder of WHITE – we felt it was appropriate and strategic to offer our companies the chance to be the protagonists of this change, so as to make the most of the ensuing synergies. I believe that this is a unique occasion for the Italian production chain and for Milan, which will increasingly catalyze the interest and favor the permanence of international fashion insiders».
