The best aspect of seasonal change in the Northeast of America is without a doubt the FASHION, and people like Mover and Shaker Donna Degnan make it that way, and she not only designs her line in New York and always has, but she also always has manufactured the whole line in Manhattan. Navy is absolutely the new black, and it makes a statement in these two pieces. Donna is the epitome of less is more and her line is pure luxury. We are honored to work with her for a second season. Degnan’s talent for showcasing the best in women began early. After graduating from FIT and working for major retailers, she begun designing her own collection in the late 90’s. Ever since, her collection has been steadfast in filling the void in the market for trendier clothing designed with sophisticated, quality workmanship. The initial purpose honed her aesthetic as a designer.
Known for her classic silhouettes with a modern and contemporary edge, Donna Degnan has become a favorite go to designer for many women across the country. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Donna’s creativity was inspired by her parents and their very successful interior design business. After graduating Fashion Institute of Technology, Donna designed collections for a few major retailers where her tenacious work ethic and talent were noticed. Donna has a very loyal audience of celebrities in television, politics, stage and film. Inside Edition’s Deborah Norville, former Governor Christine Whitman, E News reporter Alicia Quarles and Broadway actress Donna Murphy are just a few spotted in Donna Degnan designs. Donna’s designs have been seen in numerous magazines and websites and recently she was a featured designer for Cotton Incorporated’s major Miami 24 hour Fashion Show 2013. Donna Degnan’s design studio is located in New York City and she is very proud to manufacture her collections in New York City’s Garment Center. Lulu, Donna’s adorable and feisty “Morkie” dog comes to work with Donna every day and is never too far from her favorite designer.
