Important international novelties are going to dot the June 2017 edition of WHITE MAN & WOMAN, the contemporary menswear and womenswear previews trade show due from 17th to 19th June. On the wake of the previous editions’ success, the REVOLVER INSIDE WHITE section is going to put on stage approximately 40 brands, thus taking on the features of an out-and-out reference area within the trade-fair, taking the ready-to-wear for men (and the womenswear previews) from Northern Europe to ex Ansaldo, via Tortona 54. The location will indeed showcase the likes of Libertine-Libertine, Rains, DEADWOOD, PackMack, S.N.S. Herning, Soulland, Journal. WOOD WOOD’s confirmation is also meaningful, having chosen WHITE and Milan as their ideal platform to display their high-end sportswear.
«We are really enthusiastic about this remarkable development in the framework of our collaboration with WHITE and about REVOLVER’s presence in Milan during the city’s Fashion Week. We strongly believe that Milan, from now on, will offer us several new business opportunities». So the creative director and founder of the Copenhagen’s trade fair Christian Maibom, who went on: «It’s going to be fantastic».
At this edition, the industrial set at ex Ansaldo, via Tortona 54 will act as a creative sounding board for the approximately 40 brands from Northern Europe featuring great synergy with WHITE’s aesthetic vision, which plays on the match between design, sportswear inspirations and fashion trends, with special focus on quality and innovative price points.
The recently signed agreement between the trade show, under the aegis of the Municipality of Milan, and Seoul Fashion Week will grab the buyers’ and insiders’ attention alike. In Tortona 27, approximately 20 brands will act as testimonial for the Asian creativity within the show, among which Blindness, Dozoh, Nal Project, 1|studio, ATM stand supreme.
Superstudio Più Tortona 27 is going to host the partnership between the trade show and Seoul Fashion Week, with an important exhibition in which the selected designers will rise to the fore, namely the already mentioned Blindness (a blend between art and young culture featuring a pretty effective minimalistic style), Dozoh (label founded by designer Dongwook Jo Choo, who graduated at London College of Fashion and focuses on a modernist menswear),Nal Project (womenswear brand exploring all the modern-day aesthetic facets).
The dialogue between the trade-fair and some high-end fashion showrooms goes on thanks to the initiative Friends of WHITE, an international exhibiting project that was launched in January 2017, whose protagonist is BaltimoraStudio, with brands like Vatanika, B-Low The Belt, Kate Cate, Millie Mackintosh and For Love & Lemons.
These important international agreements go to show that WHITE MAN & WOMAN is more and more the contemporary destination for cutting-edge menswear and for the womenswear previews from across the globe, thus contributing to focusing the international buyers’ attention on the trade show and on its exhibitors.
The constant and profitable collaboration with ICE – Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian enterprises – affords the trade-fairs a considerable incoming of prominent international buyers, both from Europe - like France, Gran Britain and Germany – and from the Far East and the United States, to the benefit of the exhibitors and, more broadly, of Milan’s fashion system.
