WHITE MAN & WOMAN DISCLOSE THEIR JUNE 2017’S DESIGNERS:

WITH NEHERA TO DEBUT AS ONLY WOMAN SPECIAL GUEST AND 

WOOD WOOD COMES BACK


The June 2017 edition of WHITE MAN & WOMAN - on stage from June 17th to 19th – marks the debut of NEHERA as Special Guest at the Only Woman section. This Slovak brand, with its presence, goes yet again to show that the June edition of the contemporary fashion trade show is exceptionally appealing for international top buyers, thanks to its capability of timely presenting both the womenswear collections and previews at the start of the sales campaigns. 

NEHERA is a label that has made history in Eastern European womenswear. Founded in 1930 by the visionary entrepreneur Jan Nehera, over the years the brand has reached over 130 shops worldwide, that is in Europe, in the United States and in Africa. In 2014 it underwent a remarkable re-launch thanks to Ladislav and Bibiana Zdut, who have strongly believed in this aesthetic project, capable of merging sculpted silhouettes with a sartorial attitude. Since 2015 NEHERA has been a constant presence in the official calendar of Paris Fashion Week. Former Czechoslovakia has always been regarded, geographically speaking, as a bridge between East and the West and NEHERA contemporary fashion features this double cultural influence. Today the label’s cosmopolitan DNA is valued around the globe, also by big screen stars like Tilda Swinton and Marion Cotillard.

This edition of WHITE MAN & WOMAN is marked by the return to the Tortona Fashion District of WOOD WOOD, Danish brand that last January hit the catwalks at Base in via Bergognone within the calendar of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. «The support afforded by WHITE last January, - so Karl-Oskar Olsen, the brand’s designer - has enabled us to make contacts with new and interesting clients and guaranteed an effective press coverage. Our presence here means that the brand has now all it requires to succeed internationally». Also this time WOOD WOOD’s presence has originated from the partnership between the Milanese trade show, under the aegis of the Municipality of Milan, and Copenhagen’s trade-fair REVOLVER in the framework of REVOLVER INSIDE WHITE, the creative exchange project that has reached approximately 40 brands and is going on show at ex Ansaldo in Via Tortona 54.

Among the other designers that are going to display their collections in June Henrik Vibskovand House of the Very Island’s are definitely worthy of mention. They both are among the most meaningful international ready-to-wear menswear and womenswear labels animating the Basement, an out-and-out reference area for those looking for avant-garde style and contemporary design. Their participation highlights the dynamism and strength of the exhibiting project conceived by Massimiliano Bizzi - founder of the show - and put in place by WHITE: currently the only international trade show whose exhibiting areas are conceived to simultaneously host both menswear and womenswear collections. 

Another outstanding name in the ONLY WOMAN section is P.E Nation, which represents the female activewear, just like VA Victoria Andreyanova, one of the most esteemed Made-in-Russia labels, capable of merging elegance, comfort and clean lines. 

As regards the accessories – another essential asset of the trade show - Toga Pullastands out owing to their creative grit achieved through the shiny and hardened metal decorating their shoes. Dorateymur is a cutting-edge shoewear brand featuring a sculptural design, it was founded in 2012 and is constant presence at the trade-fair.
