Travel Channel’s culinary explorer, Andrew Zimmern —who has traveled nearly everywhere while eating almost anything along the way — is set to reveal his personal picks for dishes and food experiences so delicious and memorable that they earned a coveted place in his newly greenlit series, “The Zimmern List.” The network has commissioned 18 half-hour episodes of “The Zimmern List,” and will begin production on the series next week. Zimmern’s first two stops: Portland, Maine and Boston.

During each visit to a city, Zimmern recounts personal food memories and shares the culinary history of the location, taking viewers on a personal tour of what makes that particular city so irresistible and intriguing to him.
“The new series is about more than just delicious food on the plate. It’s all about the unique and special experience of the city, the restaurant or food stall where that dish is being served, and most importantly, the people,” said Zimmern.
