Producers of the annual community, arts, and culture festival “Florida Summer Fest” announced that the event heralded as Florida’s only multi-city, community music & fashion festival is returning this year the weekend of Aug. 3rd through the 6th and will be featured on Atlanta’s new cable TV station DeKalb 25, which covers a viewing audience of over 7,500 households in the greater Atlanta area in addition to the Jacksonville-based CW17 network, which reaches as far north as St. Mary’s, Georgia and as far south as St. Augustine. It is expected to air on CW17-Jacksonville in late September 2017.
Changes to this year’s festival, which started in 2013 under the direction of Jacksonville-born TV producer and hip hop artist Dez Nado, include an expansion from the original one-city community music fest to a 4-day, multi-city, simultaneous weekend festival involving community service, entertainment industry executives/professionals, and multi-market television and radio coverage.

The festival has confirmed invited attendees ranging from Def Jam label executives, VH1 reality TV stars from “Black Ink Crew” and “Bad Girls Club,” members of Cash Money Records, brand ambassadors from Orlando’s Mall at Millenia, including Christian Dior among others, and Jacksonville’s own Rollo H. and Lil Hustle, a rap artist from Jacksonville who recently signed on with Sony Music.
