Food lover, actor and restaurant business veteran Casey Webb is a new man and he is ready to taste the nation’s most epic eats in the reboot of “Man v. Food.” One of the most popular shows on Travel Channel, the series premieres on Monday, August 7 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT with Webb as the lead man continuing the pursuit of gastronomic glory – and crisscrossing America to uncover tasty treats and tackle the country’s iconic eating challenges.
“Holding the banner of man and armed with years of experience in the restaurant industry – I am ready to go into battle,” said Webb. “One of the biggest thrills has been the crowds that come out for me and cheer me on including moms, kids, guys and gals – the chanting and support have made each experience not only delicious, but special.”
Food be warned, your days are numbered in cities throughout the country. Throughout the 10-episode run, Webb will be waging culinary combat in locales including: Chicago; Houston; Billings, Mont.; Charleston, S.C.; Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.; New Orleans; Portland, Ore. and Des Moines, Iowa. No food challenge is safe when Casey Webb comes calling.

In the premiere episode, Webb takes on a hometown challenge in New York City. After tasting a burger stuffed with french fries and fondue in Manhattan, and Brooklyn’s innovative pizza on a pizza in a box made out of pizza, he heads to the Lunchbox in Staten Island for a special, multiple-choice challenge: a choice between taking on a 151-ounce milkshake, an eight-pound sloppy joe or eating six habanero ghost chili wings. The wings pack one million units of heat on the Scoville scale, which is 333 times hotter than the average bottle of supermarket hot sauce. Ultimately, Webb leaves his fate in the hands of the challenge creator who makes a random pick on Webb’s behalf. Will it be the big, the bad or the burn?

In the second premiere of the night, Webb travels to Milwaukee, Wis., for some epic Brew City eats. These include a pitcher-sized bloody mary garnished with a whole fried chicken, a mouth-watering pork shank at a 100-year-old German restaurant and a four-and-a-half-pound Reuben sandwich challenge named “The Commish,” for Milwaukee native and former MLB Commissioner Bud Selig, who appears in the episode to advise Webb.
