AXS EXPANDS AXS ANYWHERE TICKETING PURCHASE OPTIONS TO INCLUDE GROUPON, GOLDSTAR, GAMETIME & ENTERTAINMENT BENEFITS GROUP Expanded distribution options and integrated partnerships enable consumers to find and purchase tickets on a variety of popular and verified platforms
AXS, a leading ticketing and digital media platform, has expanded its AXS Anywhere ticketing distribution program, announcing partnerships with Groupon, Goldstar, Gametime & Entertainment Benefits Group (EBG). The new integrations will enable consumers to find and purchase primary AXS tickets for participating venues through these popular platforms.
“We believe in broad distribution and are committed to providing the best ticketing experience from discovery to purchase,” said Blaine LeGere, SVP of Business Development. “These fantastic partners not only expand the awareness of events and the accessibility to purchase, but streamline the buying process for our fans.”
The AXS Anywhere technology provides a superior consumer experience as AXS issues tickets directly via its distribution partners, allowing customers to avoid will call and eliminating the need for paper tickets or vouchers. This integration also adds a layer of security, as each individual ticket is validated upon purchase. AXS Anywhere provides venues more options to customize their ticket distribution across the partners of their choosing to reach the broadest audience possible.
Each distribution partner has their own unique consumer base, which allows for information to reach a larger audience: Groupon’s extensive mobile and web e-commerce presence; Goldstar’s massive venue partner network; Gametime’s exclusively mobile app targeting millennial’s for last-minute tickets to sports, concerts and theater; EBG’s corporate travel and entertainment benefits program that is the largest in the country.
“This partnership gives us the ability to sell more tickets to some of the top concerts, sporting events and family-fun activities around the country,” said Brian Fields, VP and general manager of Things To Do, Groupon. “We’re thrilled to provide our customers a faster, more seamless experience for all of their summer fun.”
The tens of millions of combined users nationwide expand the mission of AXS Anywhere— to provide customers with the widest variety of distribution channels that allow them to purchase AXS tickets easily and safely.
“We’ve been completing these integrations for one simple reason: more ticket sales should not translate to more work for our 5,000 venue partners,” said Goldstar CEO, Jim McCarthy. “Venues come to a third-party channel like Goldstar to help them build awareness for and sell their shows to our nearly 8 million members. These integrations are designed to be seamless, real-time and convenient.”
With AXS Anywhere, the venue benefits from a more efficient box office experience and removes the administrative burden of having to switch platforms to track sales, promotions and offers.
“We want to eliminate all friction for fans in discovering and attending live events. The partnership with AXS gives us the opportunity to expand our supply to some of the best venues and events across the country,” said Colin Evans, CRO of Gametime. “Our goal is to continue to offer fans the best mobile experience and we’re excited about our new relationship with AXS.”
The integrations add to the existing AXS Anywhere distribution partnerships, including Spotify, which launched on June 15, providing listeners with personalized event recommendations.
“We strive to offer the widest variety of entertainment and travel products to our members, and AXS brings some of the best music and sporting events in the country to our 50-plus million users through our portfolio of over 40,000 corporate clients,” said Stephanie Baker, Chief Marketing Officer at EBG. “We help our partners expand their reach to sell incremental tickets for their respective events and leverage this type of integration to assure a seamless experience for our customers and venue partners, and this deal only furthers that promise.”
