Car Pros Make Room For The Under ‘Dogs’ In Discovery’s All-New Series “Gear Dogs (WT)” Series Premieres Monday, September 4 at 10 pm ET/PT

Car fanatic Nate Boyer will build and customize anything that moves. As the owner of Kultured Customs, a thriving hot rod and car resto-mod shop, Nate is always looking for the next big project to reap huge profits. Now, he is taking his biggest gamble yet and opening “The Doghouse” – a community garage that’s open to hobbyists and auto mechanics (aka ‘Dogs’) looking to test their build skills. Nate rigorously vets promising candidates that will use his space, equipment, and brains in exchange for a cut of their final flip. The Doghouse opens its doors to Discovery Channel in the all-new series GEAR DOGS (WT), premiering Monday, September 4 at 10pm ET/PT.

Kultured Customs is famous for building, restoring, and customizing high-end, six-figure cars from all over the country. With the shop as his bread and butter, Nate is now expanding operations by opening The Doghouse – a clubhouse for car guys, open to both renters and flippers – to pull in some extra cash. Nate and his team work day and night with ambitious ‘Dogs’ who bring their old cars and big dreams to the collaborative workspace. Together, Nate, his team, and the Dogs all help each other as they tag team to build the coolest custom rides, including a ’67 Plymouth Belvedere, 1980 Jeep Honcho, and a 1956 Chevy Nomad, among others.

While the new venture seems to be gaining serious traction in the community, Nate takes a risk with every new Dog he brings into The Doghouse. Whether it’s a passion project or a quick flip, they must combine forces and do whatever it takes to deliver a superb product. But can Nate balance two shops to make the Doghouse a success – and create a whole new business model for building cars?

GEAR DOGS (WT) is produced for Discovery Channel by Coolfire Studios. Jeff Keane, David Johnson, Steve Luebbert, Emi Macuaga and Graham Hughes serve as executive producers. For Discovery Channel, Craig Coffman is executive producer and Todd Lefkowitz is producer.
