CTA Chief Economist Shawn DuBravac Starts New Venture

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced today that Chief Economist Shawn DuBravac, Ph.D., is moving on to start a new consulting venture, Astra Insights. DuBravac will continue to work with CTA as a consultant on specific projects at CES 2018, the world's gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies.

DuBravac had a 12-year career with CTA, joining the association in 2005 as Staff Economist and was later promoted to Chief Economist and Senior Director of Research.

"I appreciate Shawn's growth and contributions at CTA and to CES," said CTA President and CEO, Gary Shapiro. "We look forward to continued collaboration in the near term and wish him well in his future endeavors."

DuBravac authored CTA's New York Times best-selling book, Digital Destiny: How the New Age of Data Will Transform the Way We Work, Live, and Communicate. He served as an industry spokesperson, frequently speaking before a variety of audiences and often quoted in the media.
