FOOD NETWORK RETURNS TO KITCHEN STADIUM FOR IRON CHEF SHOWDOWN

Food Network is bringing back legendary Kitchen Stadium for Iron Chef Showdown, a fresh take on long-running fan-favorite series Iron Chef America. Hosted by the incomparable Alton Brown, the new standalone battles feature all the elite culinary skill, strategy and stamina of Iron Chef with more competitors, secret ingredients and over-the-top action. The Chairman (Mark Dacascos) returns in Showdown and Jaymee Sire joins the cast as the floor reporter, while Iron Chefs Bobby Flay, Jose Garces, Alex Guarnaschelli, Michael Symon and newest member Stephanie Izard, who gained the title after winning Iron Chef Gauntlet earlier this year, all bring their iconic culinary skills to battle. Production has just wrapped on the series, which is expected to launch Q4 2017.

Iron Chef Showdown is produced by Triage Entertainment in conjunction with Food Network and is based on the format Iron Chef owned by Fuji Television Network Inc.
