Lynn Sadofsky has joined the New York office of Scripps Networks Interactive as a vice president, programming and development for Food Network, Cooking Channel and Travel Channel. Reporting directly to Courtney White, senior vice president, programming for the three networks, Sadofsky will work with programmers to develop new series, manage show production and cultivate new talent. She also will serve as one of the senior liaisons for the networks’ talent and production partners.
“As a respected and skilled leader in the industry, Lynn’s impressive career has spanned both the production and network side of the business,” said White. “I had the privilege of working alongside Lynn a few years ago and I was invigorated every day by her dedicated work ethic, attention to creative detail, strong management of talent and team and her collaborative nature.”
Most recently, Sadofsky served as vice president of production and development for National Geographic, where she produced and developed over 100 hours of programming including ratings hits “Wicked Tuna” and “Brain Games.” She was also director of development and executive producer at Planet Green/Discovery Fit & Health. In the production world, her experience includes executive producing a variety of series such as “Big Ideas for a Small Planet,” “Food Detectives,” “Whatever, Martha!” and “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” for which she received an Emmy Award and a Producers Guild Award. Her additional programming credits include her work on several Peabody and Emmy award-winning HBO documentaries and “Saturday Night Live.”
