One mark of a fabulous place that exudes excellence is its versatility.
Owned by couple Elizabeth King and Paul Farrell, Kings' Carriage House was most recently lauded for its culinary endeavors earlier this year for dinner:
It became a Peachy's Pick in 2011:
Earlier this year, Whom You Know began Tea with Peachy Deegan, and owner Paul Farrell has got tea down pat.  As a Dubliner, he's been having tea all his life and Paul is clearly a tea expert and he knows everything.
Tea at Kings' Carriage House is a quintessential New York experience everyone should venture to, and the afternoon tea menu is simply fabulous.
It is absolutely fit for a King!
Even Henry VIII...see our teapot.
Kings' Carriage House is the most authentic tea we have experienced because of Paul's background, the culinary endeavors and the welcoming spirit of Kings' Carriage House.  It is exactly like you would experience in Ireland, England or anywhere else in the UK because Paul Farrell himself is the real deal.  Of course you will also appreciate his accent which you don't get in American restaurants.
They have place setting, pristine cleanliness in linens and gorgeous fresh flowers all respectively down pat.  We sat on their first floor and as you know from past reviews, you feel as if you are visiting Uncle Paul at his country estate in the rolling green hills of Ireland even if you are on 82nd street near 2nd Avenue on the Upper East Side.
There are also private tea rooms available upstairs and they are quite popular for events we understand.
Peachy Deegan sipped Harney's Black Irish breakfast tea and it was perfectly steeped.  Peachy likes strong tea, and also happens to be Black Irish.
Of the three courses, the Savory Finger Sandwiches were by far our favorite.  Peachy is absolutely a sandwich connoisseur.    You see them on the top tray, and the second tray are the scones and the third tray are the sweets.
Peachy was most in love with the Oak Smoked Scottish Salmon pinwheels, back left and directly below.  Pumpernickel spiced bread, capers, cream cheese and most of all the delicious salmon were superlative in every element.
Chopped Egg and Watercress were also divine on whole grain, middle left in the upper picture.
Sesame Chicken was standout on the right and directly below, on walnut raisin bread.
In the above picture of all the sandwiches, Goat Cheese Tartelettes with mango and tomato are sure to wow you if you like goat cheese, and cucumber with chive butter on the back right are entirely refreshing.
The scones were fantastically fresh and served perfectly warm.
Homemade raspberry jam hits the spot, as does the cream that is whipped on premises.
Kings' Carriage House is amazing and it is one of our most favorite places in all of Manhattan.
Finally, meet the sweets!
There are beaucoup de sweets.
Baby Poppy Seed Tea Cakes, Berry Tartelettes with Ginger Creme Anglaise, Baby Apricot Coconut Tea Cakes, Lemon Curd Squares, Shortbread Cookies and even Dark Belgian Chocolate Dipped Strawberries team up to compose course number three.  Each are respectively splendid and the pinnacle of dessert heaven.  And, to conclude the tea experience, you should order some bubbly....Whom You Know's Tea with Peachy Deegan Highly Recommends Kings' Carriage House!
A note from the Editor:
A big Happy Birthday today to our friends Alison and Paulina who were born on the same day.
We celebrate with Tea in honor of Alison's English background and Champagne in honor of what Paulina and Peachy like to drink on Manhattan rooftops.
If either of you were here, we know Paul would print your name on the menu today!
Paul is still the only person we know anywhere who is so competitive that he does a brand new menu every single day.
