Philadelphia Marriott Downtown offers intuitively designed accommodations, luxury amenities and an unparalleled location in the city's vibrant downtown district. The hotel consists of 1,408 guest rooms and nearly 72 versatile, beautifully designed event venues of innovative and flexible function spaces. A sixty second tour is available here: www. philadelphiamarriottdowntownvi deo.com
The hotel has a wonderful fitness center, heated indoor pool and exceptional on-site, and nearby shopping and dining. It is located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, near Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and is adjacent Reading Terminal Market (an indoor Urban Farmers Market and a unique, unparalleled experience). 30thStreet Station (Amtrak) is within eye sight, the Regional Railroad is attached, Philadelphia International Airport is a brief cab ride away.
The main portion of the building is a commanding presence and spans an entire city block but it is also connected (by crosswalk) to a historic tower consisting of additional guest rooms (and function spaces). The historic tower is anchored by a Dunkin’ Donuts, The Hard Rock Café, and The Field House Sports bar. It shares common space, and has an entrance to the Philadelphia Convention Center and is also connected to Jefferson Train Station (which is the Regional Rail). The historic tower used to hold the offices of Reading Railroad (think “Monopoly”) and was converted to a little more than 200 oversized, elaborate guest rooms along with two very elegant ballrooms. The historic tower was added four years after the main part of the hotel was created.
The hotel’s main two towers are centered around a Circular lobby bar (appropriately named “Circ”) and as you walk around it and the lobby you’ll find a wonderful Starbucks café, Hertz Rental Station, FedEx business center and “13” is the name of the hotel restaurant which features delightful modern-American cuisine. The main towers may be divided in half, they feature unique ballrooms spaces, conference suites of all sizes. There is a sight-seeing tour and shuttle desk right in the lobby and the hotel is situated in the midst of one of the most exciting tax free shopping, dining, and nightlife scenes that the city has seen in years (which includes but is not limited to the 13th street restaurants).
