MZ Classique, Australia’s newest boutique fashion label, has launched their first collection of classic tailored shirts, designed for the elegant and adventurous woman.
The Victorian-based brand was established by Michelle and Zoe Strapp, a mother-daughter team dedicated to designing the perfect garment. As a highly respected equestrian coach on the national stage, Michelle has always had a love for high-quality shirts, whether in the arena or waltzing through the streets of Europe on holiday. However, she had struggled to find options that fit well, felt beautiful and could survive days outdoors whilst wearing sunscreen and make-up. With this in mind, she set out to create a well-crafted, high-quality offering that women wouldn’t need to worry about, could wear with anything and most of all, feel confident and elegant in.
As the owner of Akua Oceanwear and an experienced online marketer, Michelle’s daughter Zoe was the perfect partner to help bring this brand to life. With a design and environmental science background and previous experience as a business owner, Zoe has brought her commercial sensibilities and design-know-how to the partnership, helping Michelle grow and develop both the business and designs.
MZ Classique’s first collection launches their flagship product, Classical Shirt Collection, available in four different colours: white, blue pin stripe, rose pin stripe and multi stripe. Combining style and function, they are designed to transition from a full day’s work to the latest restaurant, or to be worn in the great outdoors, whether that be in the concrete jungle of New York or the cobblestoned streets of Italy. The colours were specifically chosen for their versatility and were designed with ongoing wear in mind. As such, cuffs and collars are dark blue, preventing staining and discolouring.
