Peachy Picks The Shadmoor by Executive Chef Edi Seitllari and Host Jack Makosa #PeachysPicks #WhomYouKnow @ManhattanPeachy

Peachy's favorite, the absolutely incredible TUNA ON CRACK!
Mayor DiBlasio, this is the only thing you should be smoking or advocating the consumption of.
[Note from the Editor for those that take things too seriously: Obviously, you eat this.  You don't smoke it.  We were checking on your sense of humor.  Don't smoke anything ever ever ever says Mayor Peachy of Whom You Know.  For our interview with the AWESOME MOVER AND SHAKER ED KOCH, CLICK HERE]

For everyone that went to BOOK EXPO, you will especially love the bathroom door of The Shadmoor, and it's not who you know.
Literary people ought to know that best.
It's WHOM YOU KNOW, and we know Edi.
We're glad to say Edi knows us too and recognized Peachy walking down the street after he worked with her at another restaurant that has since closed.
So we visited The Shadmoor, and it was first featured earlier this year:
We're thrilled to announce it has gained a spot in Peachy's Picks!
A beacon of nutrition (and perhaps also light), The Lighthouse Salad is extraordinarily healthy and delicious.  Romaine Hearts, tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, red onion, olives and feta cheese teamed up to start the night off right in its hearty glory.  Every part was fresh, crunchy and delicious.
First off, we love that there are seven salad choices and we aspire to try them all.
Pear and King Shrimp is also highly convincing, and a unique combination that should be more popular.  Crispy romaine hearts, radishes, goat cheese, orange and pear form a lovely pond for the shrimp to swim in.  We love that there is basil and garlic in the highly superior vinaigrette, says the girl that abhors most salad dressing.  Obviously Edi crafts these himself.
Three gloriously warm shrimp eagerly await you!  The bosc pear is perfection as a suitable companion.  80% of the vegetables they use are organic.
On top of this, we actually liked the music and this is uncommon.  Duke of Earl was playing, a perfect jukebox song, and the attorney for the song even eats at The Shadmoor we heard.  The Shadmoor is named after the national park in Montauk, New York in Long Island.
An item new for us that is super popular is Sweet Chili Shrimp, sourced from Ecuador.  Olive oil, oregano and crushed garlic perfectly season the shrimp with avocado and sliced orange, garnished with toasted sesame seeds.  Look at the attention to detail in the extraordinarily beautiful presentation!
Ta da!  Peachy's favorite!  Tuna on Crack.  Nancy Reagan taught us to say no to drugs but we think we should say yes to tuna on crack, and we think Nancy would agree.  Other people think that this new shape resembles a crab (also a highly coveted edible by Peachy Deegan, steamed and dipped in butter), but of course as she is a bunny enthusiast as in the animal, Peachy thought that now it looks like a lop-eared rabbit.
No matter what shape it is, it is uber-delicious and fresh.
Sushi grade tuna, avocado, cucumber, sriracha, toasted sesame seeds, chive cilantro oil, tortilla chips and chipotle aioli team up for a splendorous appetizer that will knock your socks off and impress you immensely.  It was just as good as the first time.  But we had to check.  And it is so fetching we think we will keep checking.
A salad new to the menu is the Organic Tomatoes and Burrata, which is competitive with some Italian places.  Truffle balsamic glaze seals the deal beautifully, along with mint leaf.  The burrata itself is sourced from Italy.  Creamy and delicious, it is a hit.
The Shadmoor is super summery, and so is the burger.
Meet Surf Burger!  Bring your own surfboard.
It arrived perfectly medium, and the grassfed beef was juicy and a carnivorous delight.  Grilled pineapple, roasted red beet and avocado enhance this wonderful burger which is Halal meat from New Jersey.  The harissa mayo has a wonderful flavor and we like that you can have it with greens and don't have to have french fries.  Of course, Peachy is a cheeseburger monster so cheddar was gladly added.
The Char-Grilled Branzino announces summer with cheer!
Flown in from Greece for your dinner, the whole fish triumphantly is displayed in all its glory, and is a proper whole fish, just like we like it.  Every day the Greek seafood vendor delivers, we were told. The sweet white fish was phenomenally gorgeous in flavor and freshness, and the grilled aspect upped the wow factor.
Grilled zucchini, eggplant, red onion, roasted red pepper, and corn on the cob are a symphony of nutritional goodness as the grilled seasonal vegetables, which should be part of everyone's meal.
Finally, another new menu item that we adored was the Squid Ink Linguine!  King shrimp, mussels, and little neck clams waltz in basil cherry tomato sauce.  Every bite was the epitome of delicious comfort food, and perfect for a day like today where the heat was actually going on in June in Manhattan.
