Once upon a time, there was a girl that moved to New York and probably her favorite part of her not fun office job was ordering dinner with her corporate AmEx, because she worked through dinner. So one day, she decided eating dinner would be her job and now it is.
It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and you know Peachy.
Peachy Deegan does know an awful lot of people by now, and truly some of the best stories she knows she cannot print. But when we have a very good secret and are allowed to tell you, because people that matter trust us, we tell you.
Meet Macaroni Shoppe!
It is BRAND NEW.
It opened in June 2018 and it is from a secret location.
The only way you can get it is by website ordering and delivery.
If you work though dinner, or if you are done working and you want to order for delivery anyway, you should because this Wood Oven Mac is absolutely delicious. It is homemade to order and will be a bright shining light on a bad day and make a good day even better. The classic, above, is crafted with local swiss with a hint of black pepper. We reveled in the wonderful simplicity.
Another dish is the Caprese, and you know how much we love Italian. Another nice aspect is that this arrives in a brown box that reminds us of a Happy Meal, but there is not a toy (if you want a toy get yourself a Warmie but make it a Chilly in this weather in your freezer!). All the pleasure you need is in the taste. Pesto in mac and cheese is brilliant in itself but this version adds cherry tomatoes and Cabot mozzarella. This is even terrific cold on a hot day to us.
For anyone that is a sophisticate and thinks they are above macaroni and cheese, tell them to put their peachy pinkie out and order the Duck Confit. Yes, there is Duck Confit in the mac and cheese that is so delicious you will quack. New York Cheddar, thyme and mushrooms round out this soiree in tin and note that this arrives in style with wooden forks for all dinners.
You know one Italian version is not enough for the Mozzarella Monster Peachy Deegan. The Macaroni Shoppe also has Italian with Meatballs! They are superlative pork meatballs waltzing in mozzarella, parmesean, basil, oregano, thyme and an absolutely intoxicating fire-roasted tomato sauce that will put you in the pink.
Finally the last version we tried was the Pancetta and Brussels, another unique, creative, complementary combination. Smoked pancetta, New York cheddar and caramelized brussels sprouts mix with the mac which is dotted just a tad with chili flakes. And in this festival of carbs, you can't miss the fresh arugula salad with local arugula, cucumber, carrots, cherry tomatoes and balsamic on the side for Ms. Pretty Picky.
You may not pass go and collect $200 without the phenomenal baguette with garlic butter!
