The National Hockey League today unveiled the 2019 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® logo as the Chicago Blackhawks® prepare to host the Boston Bruins® outdoors at Notre Dame Stadium on New Year’s Day.

Designed by NHL Creative Services and Fanbrandz (Montclair, N.J.), the 2019 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® logo celebrates the first NHL outdoor hockey game to be played at iconic Notre Dame Stadium. This year’s logo features an ice-frosted, green iconic shamrock, a tip o’ the hat to the famed history and fabled legacy of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The logo features a cursive inspired NHL Winter Classic® type treatment which is an evolution of the typography that has become a familiar and consistent feature in all 10 previous NHL Winter Classic® logos.

The outdoor game will be played at Notre Dame Stadium, home of the NCAA Division I Notre Dame Fighting Irish, on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019. The game will be broadcast on NBC in the United States and on Sportsnet and TVA Sports in Canada at 1 p.m. ET.

Additional details on the 2019 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® – including ticketing information and other events surrounding the game – will be announced at a later date. NHL Network™ and NHL.com will provide extensive coverage live from the event leading up to and after the game. NHL Social™ will have exclusive coverage on all social platforms, including the use of the official hashtag NHL #WinterClassic.
