IFC Films today announced the launch of IFC FILMS UNLIMITED, its new subscription video on demand streaming channel comprised of theatrically-released and award-winning titles from its distribution labels IFC Films, Sundance Selects and genre label IFC Midnight.
IFC Films has been behind some of the most culturally impactful and successful independent film and documentary releases of all time, and the new offering will include a broad range of titles, from IFC Films “classics” like Y TU MAMÁ TAMBIÉN and THE THIN BLUE LINE to THE TRIP and Oscar-nominated films 45 YEARS and TWO DAYS, ONE NIGHT, documentaries including the Oscar-nominated HOW TO SURVIVE A PLAGUE and JOAN RIVERS: A PIECE OF WORK, as well as genre films THE BABADOOK and ROOM 237.
IFC FILMS UNLIMITED will initially launch on Amazon Prime Video Channels, with a monthly price of $5.99, and its launch will coincide with the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. IFC Films has a long history of distributing Cannes award-winning films, including five Palme d’Or winners. At launch, IFC FILMS UNLIMITED will include the Palme d’Or winning 4 MONTHS 3 WEEKS 2 DAYS, DHEEPAN and THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY, as well as other Cannes favorites KID WITH A BIKE, GOMORRAH, CERTIFIED COPY, TALE OF TALES, SAVAGE GRACE, FLIGHT OF THE RED BALLOON, and many more.
