Stellar Manager Tasha Bailey and the Nucci Pizza!
Both exemplify excellence.
Although we always work with the owner in Manhattan, sometimes it is not possible when we are running inbetween flights and we put someone on the spot when the weather is perfect hence no delays, the flight is on time, and we have time. Manager Tasha Bailey exemplified hospitality in our experience and she earned the stars for Varasanos, especially in the time alotted. Although time was in short supply, quality of cuisine and quality of experience was not.
This is our first experience formally reviewing a Georgia restaurant, and it was PEACHY, as expected!
We firmly believe there is great airport food if you can find it!
(But maybe not at LaGuardia or Newark...wait until you get to Manhattan for now.)
Eating on the go is just as important as eating when not on the go.
Of course, aviation is found in Pilot Peachy.
Composed of Mixed Greens, Herbs, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Olives, Capers and Aged Cheeses, the House Salad at Varasano's is a total winner for variety of ingredients, ratio of ingredients to one another, and general freshness. Also key: they listened the first time and put dressing on the side as we always like it. Note if you are new to us: we never edit pictures. You either do as fabulous a job as Tasha, or you don't. Also if you are new: our policy since 2009 is that we write on you if we have a great experience. If not, we don't.
We really liked the salad and would definitely try it again.
It is the right size and Peachy happily indulged in its entirety before she boarded her next flight.
We also liked the clean silverware presentation.
Especially when travelling, we are super paranoid about germs.
The pizza menu is extensive and we have more Varasano pizza ambitions in the future.
Tasha suggested the Nucci.
It is visually attractive and of course if you have ever read our multiple Lilly Pulitzer posts, you know we like Pink and Green together.
Pictures speak louder than words:
The Nucci is a party of garlic, olives, emmenthaler cheese, capicola (we love the Italians!) and arugula, and finished with herbs. It was not underdone or overdone: it was just right for Goldilocks Peachy.
It is competitive with the Manhattan pizzas we have tried!
We adored the cheese the most and the crust was perfection.
Peachy Picks Varasano's at the Atlanta, Georgia Airport!
We hope to see Tasha again next time, and meet Jeff.
P.S. Billy Joel and all other piano people, this is a piano place:
