It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we've known Rino Lacerra Senior since we first met him when he was first featured in way back in 2014:
along with his son, Rino Jr, he owns Gourmet Brick Oven Pizza 33, which we are pleased to announce has joined the ranks of Peachy's Picks today.

Not all pizza in Manhattan is fantastic, but the very best is and even if you don't live near 33rd and 3rd, a visit here is more than well worth your while to awaken your inner pizza monster and celebrate what gourmet pizza can aspire to be. And eat it!
Peachy has never been a vegan but she is a DEEGAN who likes salad. Salad is perfect with pizza and nicely balances it out; there are five salad choices here and we chose the Caesar above and the House Salad, below. Both are bursting with freshness and are beautifully presented. They are just what we are looking for in a salad.
Rino Jr. suggested we try the spectacular Meat Lovers pizza which boasts mozzarella, pepperoni, bacon and sausage. This trifecta devoted to please carnivores everywhere is in perfect proportion to all other pizza ingredients and we particularly loved the pepperoni! All pizza here is thin crust and there are over 20 choices besides the fact that you could do your own custom pizza. This Meat Lovers pizza particularly hits the spot on a freezing day like today.
Though it is a work of beauty, it is most beautiful in your mouth and ultimately, your stomach.
If you really know Peachy, you know she is a proud Eagle and bleeds maroon and gold for Boston College. Not only did she love the sports there but also she loved the chicken parm grinders at Lower. She often ate them and is always looking for great New York versions and this certainly is one. Quality mozzarella, sauce and basil is used in everything at Gourmet Brick Oven Pizza 33 and every bite of this wonder is pure bliss.
If you are looking for a pizza that is on the lighter, healthier side, opt for Il Giardino: fresh mozzarella, basil, artichoke, broccoli, onions and mushrooms!
Of course, to us it looks like the rolling green hills of Ireland which is a huge compliment to anything.
The nutritional power combination behind this vegetable extravaganza will really wow you and we also applaud them here for their high commitment to individuality as we don't see anyone else making this pizza. This is probably our favorite but we'll have to try the other 15 or so to say for certain.
We absolutely adore the classic Margherita and few anywhere make it this well.
Fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes will win you over in a big way and this is baked to absolute perfection. It was the first item to magically disappear in Peachy's stomach and we won't tell you its lifespan because it was that short. Actions speak louder than words, readers!
