#TerrificTakeout #InauguralReview #GourmetBrickOvenPizza33 Gourmet Brick Oven Pizza 33 ON FIRST AVENUE AND 50TH STREET by Emilio Rino Lacerra, Both Senior and Junior and Angela Lacerra
It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we know Rino Lacerra, founder and owner of Gourmet Brick Oven Pizza 33, and drum roll please, we are pleased to announce it has opened on FIRST AVENUE AND 50TH STREET.
401 East 50th Street, Manhattan.
This is this new location's inaugural review. Although it is on FIRST AVENUE AND 50TH ST, it bears the same name as the original location which earned Peachy's Picks status earlier this year:
Both locations are family-owned and run by Rino, his son Rino and his daughter Angela.
We are firm believers in pairing green salads with pizza to nutritionally balance out your meal, and the salads are sensational here. Above, please meet the House salad, which is exactly as you'd want a classic salad to be with fresh greens, tomatoes, mushrooms, carrots and we really loved the onions. They are the best onions we have seen on any salad in 2020 so far. Peachy NEVER wants salad dressing and they listened. The salad dressing was appropriately on the side.
Below, please meet the Tre Colori Salad with the trifecta of winning ingredients of arugula, radicchio, and endives. Rino ups his game here with adding STRAWBERRIES AND TOMATOES ONLY AT THIS LOCATION!!!!!!! They will make your winter.
Everyone thinks they are so great at making meatballs.
The difference is here that RINO IS REALLY EXCELLENT AT MAKING MEATBALLS!! The Meatball Parmigiana grinder is spectacular and outstanding in its 100% beef meatballs. Artisan marinara and grande mozzarella join them in basking of the excellence of the fresh grinder roll. P.S. They are called grinders in Connecticut where guess who is from but on the menu like most places in New York, it is termed Hero. In these days of boosting immunity do not miss the amazingly fresh oj which we also loved:
Rino reveling in his pizza achievement:
Often, Peachy has an exact idea of what she wants on her custom pizza.
This time, we stuck to the menu.
Above, meet the large (all pizzas are always large in our reviews) Vegetarina, created by Rino and among his over a dozen custom pizza choices.
The masterpiece known as Vegetarina is composed of: fresh mozzarella, basil, artichoke, broccoli, onions and mushrooms. It is perfection for a Friday in Lent when you can't eat meat. The ingredients culminate in an authentic delicious pizza that artfully holds up all the ingredients that will wow you. For something more simple, the regular pizza below is outstanding in its triumph of the standard slice reaching a higher elevation unique to this brand. We will let the pictures speak for themselves. From the delicate crust to the flavorful sauce to the ecstasy of mozzarella, every part will impress you.
Finally, Rino encouraged us to try a creation brand new to the menu: Cauliflower Crust Pizza! With Gluten Free Margherita, this special crust can sport any ingredients your little heart desires. Rino chose pepperoni and mushrooms for Peachy and it was delicious.
Gourmet Brick Oven Pizza 33 at 401 East 50th Street is Terrific Takeout!
Stay tuned for more excellence from this brand.
