Private vineyard at the foot of the Shady Mountains in the Dark Argolis (altitude 550 m.) - 7,000 bottles/year

Variety composition : 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Winemaking & Features : Modern method of vinification with controlled fermentation at low temperatures for better preservation of aromas. Wine with strong aromas, most notably those of summer and exotic fruits such as pear, pineapple and lemon blossom. Pale yellow color in the glass with greenish highlights. Intense, multi-dimensional nose. Lemon, orange and citrus on the one hand and mango, grapefruit, passion fruit and pineapple on the other. Freshly cut grass makes its presence felt at all levels. Fine mouth, greasy, tied, with refreshing acidity that beautifully balances the whole while for the end it has a medium-lasting aftertaste with a lime feel
All aspects of Ammos are aesthetically motivated, not only the food.  A recent enhancement is the wine collection on the back wall beautifully augmented by greenery evocative of a vineyard.  We love it!
We know we are making you hungry, so we'd encourage you to check out the menu with that above on your phone or device.  A super refreshing start is the Horiatiki Greek Salad which is the essence of all the fabulous produce in its prime this time of year!  Beefsteak tomatoes, Kalamata olives, Spring onions, Vidalia onions, cucumbers, tri-color peppers, barrel-aged feta, fresh Mount Taygetos oregano, and evoo evidence that eating healthy is also delicious.  The burst of each flavor on your palate is a celebration in itself and the generous size is sublime.  The second tallest mountain in Greece which ends in the water giving it a stunning salty quality from the ocean, Taygetos is the source of the freshly ground oregano-grated on premises- that garnishes it.

Of course, fish is essential at Ammos, and the Tuna with Sesame Seeds boasts incredible flavor as it luxuriates in halved roasted brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes.  Avocado mousse is the perfect touch and the tantalizing tuna steps up its game crusted in five spices much to the delight of diners. A soy cider vinaigrette is an impeccable accent.

The Apple Tart is the ultimate tantalizing delight at the conclusion of your Ammos visit.  It earns accolades from uptown to downtown and the blueberries, strawberries and ice cream and powdered sugar are the perfect conclusion.  The flakiness is perfection as it gracefully envelops magnificent apples in a well-appointed arrangement.
