#ReadThis #TheCamelClub by @DavidBaldacci
It's not who you know, it's Whom You Know and we have been singing the praises of David Baldacci for many, many years. Recently we raved about Dream Town, his latest and greatest, and given the opportunity we like to go back and read his other work we might have missed because it is of course of the same caliber!
It's a new kind of Fab Four inbetween these pages and of course a thriller is in store. We love how it is dedicated to the men and women of the United States Secret Service. Particularly if you are in tune to Washington in person like we are from visiting our pals Billy Martin and Ashok Bajaj, you are going to love this story because you will be able to picture it happening quite literally.
At over 450 pages this is not at all a quick read but perhaps a weekend getaway read over a few days! So order now to plan your next weekend because you know reading this is a lot more fun than your job (unless you are a Peachy Deegan, then it is your job) ! Crafty characters are created in full bloom embellishing this tantalizing tale of meetings and murder and much, much more. We shall not give it away.
Like Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness we echo this text with Truth, Accountability and the Pursuit of Baldacci! But at what cost do truth and accountability come?
The Camel Club is Highly Recommended by Whom You Know!
After witnessing a shocking murder, four conspiracy theorists team up with a Secret Service agent to uncover the government corruption that threatens to cause an international terrorism crisis in this New York Times bestselling thriller. Welcome to THE CAMEL CLUB. Existing at the fringes of Washington, D.C., the Club consists of four eccentric members. Led by a mysterious man known as “Oliver Stone,” they study conspiracy theories, current events, and the machinations of government to discover the “truth” behind the country’s actions. Their efforts bear little fruit–until the group witnesses a shocking murder…and becomes embroiled in an astounding, far-reaching conspiracy. Now the Club must join forces with a Secret Service agent to confront one of the most chilling spectacles ever to take place on American soil-an event that may trigger the ultimate war between two different worlds. And all that stands in the way of this apocalypse is five unexpected heroes.

David Baldacci has been writing since childhood, when his mother gave him a lined notebook in which to write down his stories. (Much later, when David thanked her for being the spark that ignited his writing career, she revealed that she’d given him the notebook to keep him quiet, “because every mom needs a break now and then.”)
David published his first novel, Absolute Power, in 1996. The feature film adaptation followed, with Clint Eastwood as its director and star. In total, David has published 45 novels for adults; all have been national and international bestsellers, and several have been adapted for film and television. His novels are published in over 45 languages and in more than 80 countries, with 150 million copies sold worldwide. David has also published seven novels for young readers.
A lifelong Virginian, David received his Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, after which he practiced law in Washington, D.C.
In addition to being a prolific writer, David is a devoted philanthropist, and his greatest efforts are dedicated to his family’s Wish You Well Foundation®. Established by David and his wife, Michelle, the Wish You Well Foundation supports family and adult literacy programs in the United States. In 2008 the Foundation partnered with Feeding America to launch Feeding Body & Mind, a program to address the connection between literacy, poverty and hunger. Through Feeding Body & Mind, more than 1 million new and gently used books have been collected and distributed through food banks to families in need.
David and his family live in Virginia.
