There will be raffles for Yankees memorabilia as well!
Il Cortile of course is Highly Regarded for its Culinary Endeavors everywhere and has been recognized as a Peachy's Pick starting in 2013.
Current Star of the Entree Show according to Whom You Know: Fish of the Day when Peachy visited, sublime Halibut with Shrimp and Chopped Tomatoes
Being in the hallowed culinary halls of the courtyard will inevitably make you hungry! Of course you know Il Cortile means courtyard in Italian.
If you are new to these codes shown in the above picture, turn on the camera on your smartphone and scan that code to get the Il Cortile menu! There is no purchase necessary to join in with the Yankees Legend fun however, Peachy Deegan thinks you would be totally missing out if you didn't make a dinner reservation. Here is what she thinks is hot to order right now at Il Cortile!
Peachy has a close relationship with Burrata and the Classic doesn't get any better than this! Super fresh and the ultimate in creamy, the Burrata at Il Cortile is properly drizzled with evoo and sprinkled with salt and pepper with just the right touch. Basil is perched on top. Tomato and pear come to the party and we like that they are on the side and don't dominate the star of the show, which is of course this Ferrari of Mozzarella.
The meatball appetizer sets the standard for excellence in meatballs and is ideally set off with grated cheese and basil. Note we never edit pictures: we publish the truth. The meatball really is this perfect looking and sadly for all readers, computers today are not scratch and sniff so you will have to meet it in person! It goes without saying that the taste is decadent, divine and will rise to the occasion of satisfying all your carnivorous appetizer dreams.
Another fun appetizer is the lobster ravioli! We love the classic style throughout the Il Cortile menu which not only predates Whom You Know but also the birth of Peachy. You can make summer last a little bit longer when you indulge in the heavenly lobster ravioli! We can see the late matriarch Anna Esposito eating it in heaven and you can also see her name on the outside of Il Cortile's building.
The chicken parmesan smartly joined by spaghetti is another winner by this standout star of Mulberry Street. Perfectly pounded, ideally breaded and presented with just the right amount of sauce and indulged properly in mozzarella, this chicken parm is the stuff dinner dreams are made of. And if you would like to go the fish route, even better is the Fish of the Day when we visited: Halibut with Chopped Tomatoes and Spices and further accentuated with shrimp! The majestic entree lorded over its competition at lesser venues with its Classic Italian Flair that you can only find at Il Cortile.
The angel on your shoulder says be nutritious and delicious concurrently and go for the tremendously flavorful Broccoli Rabe! But the naughty devil on your other shoulder screams "PASTA!", so why not listen to them both? The Penne Creamy Vodka is superlative with the succulent little shrimps waltzing on top! Chicken added is another choice but you see it here with shrimp.
Il Cortile continues to Earn Our Highest Recommendation.
