We are honored to work with Warner Brothers Pictures again and in their Home Entertainment realm! Earlier this year we featured Elvis's Lincoln with our friends at Ford at the New York Auto Show and we are thrilled to follow that up with this movie. It opens in Las Vegas and introduces the talent of Elvis to an entirely new generation today. You won't recognize Tom Hanks, who plays his manager.
For years, every generation of American teenagers has worshipped a rock star starting with Frank Sinatra, whom we wrote a term paper on for Mover and Shaker Rennie McQuilkin's class. And if you are of Peachy's generation you certainly went wild for The New Kids on the Block and now you can transfer that Donnie enthusiasm to Blue Bloods. Inbetween these two acts came Elvis and the Beatles and you know what happened for our 27,000th post.
Being different is key to the success of Elvis, and that is portrayed well throughout this film. We hadn't ever associated the circus with Elvis before, but it is important here because it is in the background of his manager. We do feel the editing could have been tighter: the version we saw was two hours and 39 minutes. The Little Richard character was the second best aspect of the film with his amazing Tutti Frutti delivery. As Baz is the director, this film is all glitz and glamour at 200 percent but it might have been tempered better with contrasts to quiet and less pizazz for maximum effectiveness from a directorial standpoint.
And P.S. in real life Peachy actually does not own any music by Elvis, but SHE DOES OWN LISA MARIE PRESLEY'S ALBUMS BECAUSE SHE THINKS LISA IS BETTER! Lisa we would love to review your work!
The best songs were Jailhouse Rock, Suspicious Minds and the end which we shall not give away however if you are not crying at the end, you haven't got a heart.

SYNOPSIS
A thoroughly cinematic drama, Elvis’s (Austin Butler) story is seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks).
