It's not who you know, it's Whom You Know and before Warner Brothers Discovery, we worked with both HBO and Warner Brothers independent of each other. The cream rises to the top, and sometimes they combine! If you don't know Game of Thrones, you might be living under a rock and probably are not in Manhattan. One of the hottest television series in history, Game of Thrones now has a prequel and IT IS THE BEST PREQUEL WE HAVE EVER SEEN.
Often there are not second acts in life and both sequels and prequels regularly fail, but not this one.
We will admit, we had doubts whether this would have the ability to be as good as Game of Thrones the original, and it absolutely is we are pleased to say. Nevermind winter is coming, winter is here if you are in New York and there is nothing that can top a binge watch of this (well maybe Alex O getting 801, but not a lot else!)
In ten tight action-packed episodes, House of the Dragon is just as fiery as you might expect. With all new characters who are of course the ancestors of the characters you already know, this series plays on timeless themes like protecting your true family: those that genuinely support you, the pursuit of power (seen in current shows in today's world like Succession, of course fictional but modern-day Manhattan) and genetic destiny. Getting along for the sake of older, more powerful relatives is a theme that is front and center as we enter the holiday season! Aging plays a role and how power changes someone is an interesting subject that crosses all boundaries and becomes front and center throughout all the episodes.
People act in their own best interests, and though this is obviously fiction, we bet you will be able to draw parallels to real life. Trust your own judgement!
But trust our opinion when we tell you this is a top-notch series, one you absolutely must see. Watch it with your dragons.
