This year’s special milestone event has been constructed not only to commemorate the last 20 years, but officially kick off the packaging innovation and brand/supplier collaborations that will define what the next 20 years will look like.

The exhibition floor will also be supplemented with the return of The Exploratorium and the introduction of the new “in green” House displays. All attendees will be welcomed to enter The Exploratorium sensorial zone which will be a walking directory of some of the most impressive 2023 exhibitor packaging developments. This year’s curated collection will vary from cutting edge digital influencer packaging to

The Exploratorium is the only display where direct interaction is not only encouraged but required.

Complementing “The Exploratorium” will be a secondary and newly formatted installation, the “in green” House. The in green presentation is the annual in green award competition come to life.
Sustainable packaging has become and continues to be the main point of packaging attraction, therefore in addition to honoring the winners of this year’s competition, the live compilation will represent all of this year’s submissions for category 1, Best Sustainable Packaging. From the latest in different forms of refillable packaging to unseen material initiatives. It will be the must stop for those looking to see what future fit sustainable elements are in the works or have recently hit the market. A now official LUXE PACK New York display essential.

An ImPACTful Industry Partnership
LUXE PACK New York is proud to be partnering with PACT for the special anniversary edition. Pact, a nonprofit collective on a mission to reduce beauty and wellness packaging waste will be making their first live appearance since announcing their North America partnership with Sephora last week. The collaboration represents a critical piece in driving change in designing packaging for end-of-life realities from the start.
In the same sentiment of driving change, PACT will be hosting the “Clean Up the Greenwash” Bootcamp series on the LUXE PACK show floor throughout the 2 days. The sessions will address the industry’s packaging design disconnect, and how brands could be greenwashing their packaging claims without even realizing it. All attendees are invited to Pact’s “Clean up the Greenwash” Bootcamp sessions to learn how to make more informed decisions about the packaging being use and how they talk about them. The sessions will be led by industry experts Ame Igharo, Senior Director of Sustainability Strategy, ULTA BEAUTY, Jamie McCroskery CEO of Bluebird Climate, and Carly Snider, Program Director, of PACT Collective. A not to be missed event within the event.

Tom SZAKY, founder and CEO of TerraCycle, an international leader in innovative sustainability solutions, and creating and operating first-of-their-kind platforms in recycling, recycled materials, and reuse will also be making an appearance at LUXE PACK. EPR legislations would shift financial responsibility for the end of life of products/packaging from consumers and governments to producers and brands. The session the industry has been waiting for is scheduled for May 10th at 2pm (main conference area).
