#MovietimeInManhattan Again Highly Recommended by Whom You Know, #DontWorryDarling Premium Digital Ownership debuts on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD It's A Must for Your Movie Collection!
Previously Highly Recommended by Whom You Know from when we saw it in the theatre, Don't Worry Darling has debuted for Warner Brothers Home Entertainment and you absolutely need it in your collection! The total sensory experience proves to be even more thought-provoking as you watch it multiple times because now you are controlling the watch! It's especially great to go back and review scenes for discussion in this provoking psychological thriller that brings forth themes of corporate control, brainwashing, feminism, mental health, questioning authority and so much more. Olivia Wilde is brilliant and we love her daring style and choices made here to make this truly unique in an industry less willing to take the risks she does.
The color is ever-so-vivid and striking the second time around and the total sensory experience will wow all audiences. We loved watching the making of it that is included here.
We previously said:
Don’t Worry Darling is going to be the most discussion-provoking flick of the season, and its originality, charm, intelligence and stellar cinematography would make Oscar Wilde himself proud. The Victory Project, indeed! Director Olivia Wilde proves this is no sophomore effort and is in fact much more triumphant than her initial directorial debut. We understand she chose her stage last name after him and you only need to look as far as Quotable Peachy to see we agree on his merits.
It opens with drinking games…and who hasn’t balanced a drink on their head. The newest Madison Square Garden sensation complete with a flag-raising last night, Harry Styles, continues along his Sinatra-esque show business career from where we last saw him on the big screen where we loved him in Dunkirk. Harry possesses a unique style that transcends disciplines and also a timelessness where he successfully morphs into characters concurrently. This is rare. Of course he can tap dance…his character does this and you will want to jump up out of your seat and join his contagious positivity. We will say eventually towards the end we understood his character was supposed to be British so you will hear his British accent at times. Styles is a singing husband when he comes home from work. Imagine that.
Florence Pugh has mastered the American accent, and she delivers a stellar performance throughout as a housewife. Her plastic wrap scene was hard to forget and parts of this movie will send chills up your spine. It’s the sunniest horror movie ever in certain parts. All that glitters is not gold. If you yourself are a corporate robot, you will relate to these characters.
Interestingly enough, this is the first time we have been to movie theatres since covid, and we could not be more thrilled to be back. The last time we were in the theatres it was also with Warner Brothers and we loved Richard Jewell, Directed by the Legendary Clint Eastwood, whom we adore and would love love love to work with. We praised Olivia Wilde for her acting ability in that back at the end in 2019, never knowing that covid would happen and having absolutely no idea that the first time we’d be back in a theatre doing a movie review is now with her at the helm Directing. It’s a nice continuation!
SPOILER ALERT: The classic cars deserve a round of applause and they were cast well, especially the 1962 C1 Corvette at the end; obviously the Corvette is the best car in the world and they crescendoed the cars appearances terrifically. 1962 is the last year of the C1 says our resident Corvette expert. (Follow Corvette Racing on Twitter they are the best!) The music is amazing and fits the era. Life could be a dream, sweetheart! Or are you a poor little fool? The costume, wardrobe and hair and makeup department really outdid themselves and this area alone provides top entertainment. Ladies who lunch are going to love it. The role and casting of food in Don’t Worry Darling we absolutely loved; obviously you know we love to eat.
Our favorite parts include the swimming pool scenes evocative of Alain Delon’s impeccable performances in Melodie En Sous Sol and La Piscine, which were filmed in this era in real life we believe in France. It’s way before our time and those two films had we been alive at the time to review them would have earned our Highest Recommendation. If you are late to the Delon party like Peachy or if you are even later and have not seen the absolutely fabulous Alain Delon in basically everything, you have to correct what is missing in your film memory. We have not seen all his films, but we are working on it and WARNER BROTHERS, we think a film with Clint Eastwood and Alain Delon would be the best thing you have ever done. Ever. Peachy is available.
Don’t Worry Darling is full of forbidden fruits with a secretive allure. No trespassing signs are so intriguing. You’ll be kept guessing, especially when you see the plane go down.
There’s Beauty in Control.
There’s Grace in Symmetry.
Move as One.
Chaos is the Enemy of Progress. Well, look no further than Organized Peachy; we do agree with this one.
This is also a psychological thriller with plenty of gaslighting. Dream sequences will draw you in again and again. The theme of repetition plays a major role. Are you slowly going insane?
When you look in the mirror, do you like what you see? This movie unfolds in layers of intrigue. The robotic scariness and Russia and China like level of control exerted on the characters should scare the living daylights out of you. The fact that it is set in America at all is scary. The plot unfolds at the right pace with a blow up 75 percent in which is perfection.
For anyone that has given this movie a poor review, they might not have the vision, depth or intelligence to really understand it. It is for out-of-the-box people. Though we loved it, Don’t Worry Darling is probably not for everyone. But it is absolutely for our readers and the thinkers of the world.
Bravo Olivia. We can’t wait to see what you do next to make Oscar proud and in doing so, maybe you’ll earn one.
DON'T WORRY DARLING

Alice (Pugh) and Jack (Styles) are lucky to be living in the idealized community of Victory, the experimental company town housing the men who work for the top-secret Victory Project and their families. While the husbands spend every day inside the Victory Project Headquarters, working on the “development of progressive materials,” their wives—including Frank’s elegant partner, Shelley (Chan)—get to spend their time enjoying the beauty, luxury and debauchery of their community. Life is perfect, with every resident’s needs met by the company. All they ask in return is discretion and unquestioning commitment to the Victory cause. But when cracks in their idyllic life begin to appear, exposing flashes of something much more sinister lurking beneath the attractive façade, Alice can’t help questioning exactly what they’re doing in Victory, and why. Just how much is Alice willing to lose to expose what’s really going on in this paradise?
