What’s on stage?

Two live bands will headline the Street Party’s main stage with Wicked Peach, this area’s ultimate rock cover band, kicking things off followed by Soul Sound Revue, a showstopping dance/party band sponsored by Webster Bank.

What’s on tap?

Craft beer will be provided by Old Saybrook’s own Myrcene Ale as well as other area brewers including Fox Farm Brewery in Salem, and Five Churches Brewing in New Britain.

What’s fun for families?

Other entertainment includes juggler Jason Tardy, Amazing Andy who will wander about making his balloon creations, Uncle Sam stilt walker, live disc golf demos all day with Rob Lemire from Action Sports, Big Daddy’s Racing, vendor-sponsored kid activities as well as giant Jenga, tic tac toe and Connect 4.

What about the shopping?

Many Main Street businesses such as Maximus, Lisa Ludwig Art, Pieces, Essex Golf & Sportswear, and Cottage Flair will host special sales events and fun activities, while craft and retail vendors will sell unique handcrafted items.

What more do we need to know?

Carl Fortuna, Old Saybrook’s first selectman notes, “We are very excited to offer this event to kick off summer in Old Saybrook. This is the first time we have closed the street for an event like this and we think it will provide a great, family-friendly, celebratory atmosphere. We’ve been wanting to host a festival featuring music, food, and fun for some time and the response in our community has been very positive. We hope everyone from around the state will come to enjoy the day with us.”
