After a long, hot, summer that is still going on we know our readers are hungrier than ever for exciting new edible hits and we just found the treasure chest for you!
The most talented and hardworking team of Owner Dimitris Nakos and Executive Chef Bruno Marino at Ammos Estiatorio at 52 Vanderbilt Avenue directly west of Grand Central Terminal have been pursuing their passion of culinary excellence while you might have been working on your tan in the sun and fun, and starting next Monday, September 11, 2023 Ammos Estiatorio is introducing a simply spectacular new menu which we are confident will be the envy of the culinary world everywhere. Peachy Deegan started eating it fewer than 24 hours ago and we could not be more thrilled about the FRESH LOBSTER STRAIGHT FROM MAINE ARRIVING EVERY DAY FOR YOUR LUNCH AND DINNER EXCELLENCE!!!!!

AND IF FOR SOME REASON YOU'RE NOT IN NEW YORK FOR GOODNESS SAKE, THIS NEW MENU IS THE BEST REASON TO COME VISIT!
This menu is both sophisticated and healthy!
There are not enough words in the English language to justify the supreme excellence of the brand new Lobster Mango Salad at Ammos Estiatorio.
So far, this is Peachy's personal favorite new menu item.
As always, if you are unfamiliar with our previous 28,000 posts, we do not ever edit pictures.  You excel like Dimitris or we do not publish.
The truth is it does look this superlative.
Brand spanking new to the to-die-for dinner menu, THE LOBSTER MANGO SALAD makes summer extend forever into your summer at the prime of its existence.  Let us reinstate: lobster is delivered from Maine every day at Ammos.  This is no ordinary lobster-but since when are we interested in ordinary anything?!  
First the lobster is brilliantly steamed and then it is lightly sauteed with garlic: whole lobster pieces!  You will absolutely revel in them and bien sur mes amis they are the star of the show on this plate.
An innovative medium salsa with diced mango, diced tomatoes, garlic, onions, serrano peppers, fresh lime juice and avocado puree elegantly enhances this wonder of the sea that should be your next dinner.
Oh and P.S. the shell of the lobster is just for decoration.
Bruno did all the work and you will never have a need for a seafood cracker or a seafood fork for these dishes we speak about today.
Of course this is Greek and in keeping with tradition, in the LOBSTER YOGURT SALAD found on the brand new lunch menu you will find this lobster again steamed to perfection dancing with rich Greek yogurt, the right hint of cilantro, invigorating lime juice, all sensationally seasoned with sea salt and ground pepper with sauteed spinach and avocado puree teaming up for a fabulous vivid color and nutritional green sensation on the side.
If you think you personally or professionally are not too excited to go back to the office, we would argue that if your stomach reads this post, it will vote get into midtown right now!
Also we'd like you to know that the Prix-Fixe Lunch and Dinner menus also have been updated with new items!

Finally, the Pantzaria Carpaccio in bold jewel tones is a beacon of Mediterranean excellence and nutritional accolades with its thin-cut oven-roasted golden and blood beets, perfectly punctuated in the middle with the ideal amount of satiating pistachio yogurt, hand-crafted on premises at Ammos Estiatorio with just a hint of garlic accent.  An effervescent shallot amalgamation of flavor sings a symphony of white balsamic among these hit produce items.  All elements in this dish as in the other two previous lobster dishes are in perfect proportion to each other, making this new menu even more attractive to the discriminating diner in Manhattan that is looking for the best to keep getting better.
Assyrtiko from Santorini pairs wonderfully with the hot new menu numbers and its versatility is testament to the quality and overall sophistication that Ammos excels at in its modern pursuit of honoring the time-old-tradition of Greek Seafood and so much more.
Ammos Estiatorio continues to earn our Highest Recommendation.
