Stylist Kati Jafine of The John D'Orazio Salon and Peachy Deegan
Summer is over!
And New York is BACK!
Is your haircolor ready?
The answer is a resounding YES if you have smiled and dialed and listened to the melody of Mary Hopkins, pleasantly answering the phone at The John D'Orazio Salon, elegantly placed on the second floor above Ralph Lauren on Madison Avenue in Manhattan between 71st and 72nd!
We have sung the praises of the brilliant Thomas Morrissey since 2018, and the unedited pictures you see today are testament to his decades-long artistry and commitment to excellence in haircolor.  This visit, Thomas carefully crafted the right shade for fall in Manhattan to enhance Peachy Deegan's natural coloring and update any offensive roots growing in.  The artistry of Morrissey magically wiped away a decade of life in haircolor that was ready to have new life and hues emblazoned upon it for fall.

After the 45 minute time period of setting the shade elapsed, Elena shampooed and conditioned Peachy's hair and super stylist Kati Jafine and her multiple roller brushes and one star hairdryer added lift and pizazz, ultimately achieving maximum volume with movable results that speak for themselves:
The winning team!

THOMAS MORRISSEY
Though many of his clientele have passed, they are household names that would attest to his level of expertise and virtuosity.  From Jackie Kennedy Onassis to Margaret Thatcher, Thomas Morrissey’s artistry has set the standard for aesthetic precedence in haircolor.  Barbara Walters, Keith Richards, and Pamela Harriman all are head-turners with haircolor by Thomas.  Born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, Thomas Morrissey is a livelong resident of New York City, and a Park Avenue resident for four decades.  He started his illustrious career in luxury haircolor art in 1976 at The Kenneth Salon, famous for its top celebrity clientele at the time.  Recognized early for his elite abilities, Thomas Morrissey within a year became one of Kenneth’s premiere colorists, catering to clients such as Pamela Harriman, Brooke Astor, Pat Buckley and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.  In 1986, with entrepreneurial spirit, Thomas launched The Thomas Morrissey Salon at 787 Madison Avenue and his lifelong client Jackie Kennedy Onassis left Kenneth with him to become a premiere client of Morrissey, as referenced in The Chicago Tribune October 29, 1986. From 1990 to 1998, Thomas Morrissey additionally championed a second salon in Palm Beach on Worth Avenue Via Mizner, which was in concurrent operation with the Manhattan location.  In 2012, Thomas and his entire staff joined “The John D’Orazio Salon” at 872 Madison Avenue.  Friends for years, John welcomed them, allowing them to pursue their passion for the profession at his salon.
