The big problem with Manhattan is that it's hard to find a great beach, so Founder and Owner Dimitris Nakos moved to Manhattan from Athens, Greece to solve that problem for all of us! Ammos in Greek means sand, and our favorite beach is at 52 Vanderbilt Avenue!

We have been signing the praises of Ammos Estiatorio since 2011, and of all of the menu items right now that have made their debut on the brand new menu strutting down the white tablecloth catwalk at Ammos, we must say that the Surf and Turf is the absolute most convincing new entry! Opulent, a mastery in dinner divinity and a edible tag team, the Surf and Turf is here to stay!

As she is Irish and actually has resided in Ireland, Peachy Deegan feels uniquely qualified to declare that the garlic mashed potatoes are the best you'll find in Manhattan, as they sing backup to this surf and turf. Grilled asparagus rounds out the edibles here with nutrition and style in a gorgeous green hue. Life is full of tough choices so make sure you have options!
