#InauguralReview #RitzDiner by #GeorgeKalogerakos Since 2000 #UpperEastSide #Manhattan A Diner Since Circa 1938

All hail the outstanding Chocolate Milkshake of Ritz Diner!

A Diner since Circa 1938 verified with our independent automobile expert, Ritz Diner is owned by our friend George Kalogerakos, who is in the pink below
There's your cheat sheet!
Actions speak louder than words, readers, and as the temperature heats up, you need to know where to have a superior milkshake!  Go to Ritz Diner, where they only use Haagen Dazs, obviously putting on the Ritz with flavor and this is what we're talking about with actions.  And may we suggest you read our favorite author's short story while you sip:
George tells us that his is the only diner in Manhattan that serves Haagen Daaz and we are not aware of others!  It's not who know and it never has been.
It's Whom You Know and we know George Kalogerakos, Founder and 100 percent Owner of Ritz Diner.  Click his name to see the first feature he earned; this is his second.
In the wide world of dining at a diner or at a pinkies-out white tablecloth venue in Manhattan, the whole world does not follow directions, as you might imagine.  Ritz Diner pays attention to details and showed us with the water exactly as we want it: lemon WEDGES (not slices) and no ice.
All diners absolutely must have a fantastic reuben, and this one does.
And, it smiles at you:
The Reuben Sandwich is beautifully open-faced: grilled corned beef parties with tangy sauerkraut on Rye bread (absolutely KEY.  Peachy LOVES Rye.  And it is the correct bread for such a sandwich....)  topped with wondrous melted swiss that will capture your heart and tastebuds.
We liked the pickle and if you are a fan of coleslaw, it's great here.
They step it up with waffle fries!
They are shaped kind of like a HASHTAG #### which is more social media fun.
We were absolutely bowled over by the super outstanding Triple Decker Egg Salad with AMAZING Crispy Flavorful Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato.  This was absolutely our favorite edible item (because you drink and you don't eat milkshakes) and was happily demolished with extreme enthusiasm by Peachy.  It's also superlative on rye.  It's served with potato salad or french fries and a pickle and may we suggest the sweet potato fries.  Our limited studies show that you will crave it after it is gone, and we cannot wait to be bewitched by its flavor again.
George shows us how simple can be done so well.
Yes, they give you the correct milkshake spoon without instruction.
You want to get every last drop out with that spoon.
As always, pictures are unedited and everything in real life does look exactly this excellent.
There are many salad choices at Ritz Diner, and here are two from the Specialty Salads section.
In both cases they put the dressing on the side at Peachy's request because you know she is picky about applying her own salad dressing, Ranch and Balsamic Vinaigrette respectively.  The Spinach Salad was an absolute triumph especially with the added Salmon which in itself was fresh and gorgeously grilled.  We are fans of adding protein to salads as a concept.  Spinach leaves, tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, red onions, sliced egg, bacon and crunchy croutons are a symphony of goodness. Note the menu usually says with Grilled Chicken Breast and without red onions but this is how we wanted it.
Below, meet the Mediterranean Salad, also with brilliant, vibrant nutrition.
George pays a lot of attention to quality ingredients across the board.
Here, we particularly liked the green beans and artichoke hearts, which are also joined by red onions, fresh broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, tomatoes, red bell pepper, lettuce, carrots and crunchy croutons and we chose Grilled Chicken Breast to party on top.
The menu is extensive all around and you probably can't think of a sandwich you would want and not find it.  Chicken Cutlet Parmigiana had great bread and mozzarella in particular and the Chicken Quesadilla was super loaded with cheesy bell pepper goodness.  Of course they give you the holy trinity of dippers: guac, salsa and sour cream.
All entrees are served with soup or tossed salad, and of course it is nearly summer so we picked Salad.
The vegetables we chose were thick, rich mashed potatoes and broccoli.
Again, both amazing and the color of these pictures evidences the high quality we experienced.
The final firework of our inaugural experience was the delicious Broiled Filet of Sole Florentine stuffed with spinach and feta cheese.  A laudable portion, this poisson also measures up in quality not just quantity and the presentation was especially inventive, particularly for a diner.
So, not all diners are run of the mill, what you'd expect: some are just BETTER!
We look forward to seeing Ritz Diner and George keeping up the excellent work.
