#PeachysPicks Peachy Picks #Argo #Mediterranean @ArgoTribeca Since 2022 by #RoudolfKalaitchev and #NikolaosNtatidis #Tribeca

Owners of Argo, Nikolaos Ntatidis and Roudolf Kalaitchev
Yes it is true: we professionally "heart" the talents of Argo!  From the exemplary cuisine to the family hospitality to the architectural details that make it stand out as they have dual mastery in building, Owners of Argo, Nikolaos Ntatidis and Roudolf Kalaitchev, Nephew and Uncle have earned a spot for the first time in Peachy's Picks.

They were first featured a year ago, and we most recently featured them last winter.  For all of the trendy come and go lists that are churned out by those less committed to quality and miss this huge hit, you ought to know this is the best new restaurant in Tribeca that you haven't been to!  (and the best long-established one is obviously Tamarind by our friend Avtar.)  Here's why you want to march yourself to 181 Duane Street!  Read on, readers!
Even the water is served nicely:
Burrata Fruit Salad is a revelation of flavor: seasonal fruits, honey, lime, olive oil, arugula, chives and baby spinach sing backup to the superstar burrata.  It should speak volumes to you that we allow them to dress this as 99% of the time we do not want anything that is not Caesar dressed.  The ingredients are given the utmost attention at Argo and nothing tastes manufactured.  Furthermore, you personally will not be treated like a number like you can be at lesser restaurant group factories.  The service is impeccable.  This time, we also worked with cousin Christos Poursanidis and Tsitsi Dundua who respectively did spectacular server work.  The Watermelon Greek Salad is also standout.  Feta-olive foam, pickled pearl onions and tricolor tomatoes announced freshness in the height of the season and we loved it.
The Caesar Salad is fresh and perfectly dressed and the chicken that comes to the party is MOIST.  You will not find this everywhere and this tells us that the chicken marched in the door not too long before you did.  Baby iceberg, parmigiano, croutons and BACON which really does the trick make this a fantastic choice you will be happy with.
If you haven't read our other 29,000 articles, note we do not edit pictures.  Argo's dishes are truly this beautiful.  Octopus with Fava is a summer dream on a plate and we love the color contrasts going on, and the octopus itself is grilled correctly and not at all rubbery like at places we do not publish on.  If you go to a new place, you should always order octopus because often if that is done correctly, you will have a great overall experience.  Here, sous-vide octopus is marinated in Lemon Zest, pepper, extra virgin olive oil, and is topped with mashed fava, chives, green oil and garlic caviar.  A splendid combination!  Equally refreshing is the Tuna-Salmon Aegean Carpaccio.  Thinly sliced tuna and salmon pleasantly pigpile on each other in gorgeous layers to sing a song of summer with lime, orange, ginger and chillies.
The glass is not dirty: that's condensation.
If you haven't been in Manhattan recently, you ought to know we are in our third heat wave of the summer already and the heat is tremendous.  To that end, Peachy is drinking far less and she asked for a small glass of this fantastic dry white which we recommend with your dinner at Argo for the summer:
Everyone is well-aware of the fact that Peachy eats meat, but not everyone does and if you are into plant-based eating, you are also celebrated at Argo with the Cauliflower steak.  They even give you a steak knife.  A thick slice of roasted, locally grown Cauliflower seasoned with salt and pepper is a hearty entree that beautifully luxuriates on roasted and mashed sweet potato with vegan chicpea mayo.  Altogether, any time of year it's a wondrous combination sure to please.
The winner and still the favorite in the world according to Peachy is the Ink Risotto with Seafood.  If we really like something we order it more than once to check for consistency and along with many other aspects of Argo, this is not only as great as it had previously been, it's BETTER; the steak was also even greater this time.  Octopus ink risotto with sous vide octopus is absolutely majestic with shrimp, scallops and mussels.  The Beef Rib Eye steak is on par with some of the best steakhouses we've been to, and it was exactly medium rare as we ordered.  Grass fed rib eye steak from Pineland Farms with Idaho pomme vanilla puree and red wine sauce will ravish your palate and the quality is announced in every bite you enjoy.
Ms. I Don't Care for Pinot Noir actually liked the Pinot Noir suggested here at Argo, and it's notable that Nikolaos previously owned a winebar.  It was terrific with the steak this time of year!
Coq au Vin was another smashing selection and we re-emphasize that the chicken is moist and high-quality here at Argo!  It is the perfect choice if you don't want fish or anything heavy in this heat.  The pan-fried sous vide tender chicken is a revelation with mashed potatoes and pancetta, which is bacon of course.  The Orange Cake is the final firework, and we even loved the fresh, creamy frosting!
Bravo Argo!
