#InauguralReview #RosasPizza Since May 2024 by #StefanoTroia #1289MadisonAvenue at #East92ndStreet #UpperEastSide #Manhattan Rosa's Pizza began in 1975 in Maspeth, Queens

Don't miss the Spinach Roll to-die-for, Peachy's favorite component of this visit
The pizza toppings are amazing:
It's not who you know and it never has been, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and now we know Stefano Troia, owner of Rosa's Pizza brand new since May at 1289 Madison Avenue at 92nd in the gorgeous upper east side.  In keeping with the neighborhood style, this is no ordinary pizza place on the corner: you'll be greeted with beautiful, clean white marble and red and green classy accents in this brand new homage to pizza.  Stefano is 100 percent Italian and his dad hails from Sicily and his mom's side hails from Naples.
This is our first visit.
They also have breakfast and open at 7am.
Of course, we visited for dinner as usual.
Stefano is one smart cookie and has earned a BS in Business Management from the University of Miami in Florida, and is a pleasure to work with from his impeccable manners to his intelligence and superior sense of hospitality for someone of his generation-he's 21.
The original Rosa's is in Maspeth, Queens and it began in 1975.  It's all the same family!
As you know, Peachy is hugely into salads and to that end, we began with the Caesar, which demonstrated classic perfection complete with anchovies.
From every angle, the pizzas are sure to please and charm the schoolchildren of the neighborhood.  We always try plain and separately try one with Peachy's choice of toppings.   The toppings chosen on this visit were: white spanish onion, red and green bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms and garlic and the festivities of vegetables were laudable and the best performing components of the pizza: fresh and delicious and cut just right.  The cheese pizza also hit the spot and is representative of what you'd expect of this ilk.
Truly outstanding was the Spinach Roll, which demonstrated fabulous freshness from the spinach to the roll itself and the astoundingly delicious ricotta and mozzarella.  The marinara was the perfect pool for the Spinach roll to cannonball into, and yes, Peachy does play with her food and you should too when it is this delicious and fun.
Pictures do not lie.  It was superlative.
As always, we do not edit.  You win like Stefano, or we do not publish.
Collectively, the salads were a step above the average pizza place.  Here, meet the House Salad.  Lettuce, red onion, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and green olives will impress with their freshness and well-cut up style and they listened and put the Italian dressing on the side for Ms. Pretty Picky.
Even better was the venue's signature salad, Rosa's, below:
Again, they listened and put the dressing on the side and we even liked the Ranch!  Peachy does not care for most salad dressings....Artichoke Hearts and Red Peppers really make this salad shine the brightest and joining cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, onions and olives they make this nutritious party on a plate a total must for your visit to Rosa's.  The final firework was an American classic coveted by Peachy everywhere, Chicken Parmesan.
Peachy Deegan is in a committed relationship with Chicken Parm, and this entree was truly laudable from the flavor to the breading to the sauce and of course the luscious cheese all dancing on al dente penne.  The menu is extensive and we see soups listed that will surely warm you up as the weather cools down.  They don't have a website yet but we will keep you posted!  We can't wait to see what Rosa's Pizza does next and they were impressive.
