PEACHY PICKS WALKERS! #PeachysPicks Walker's Tribeca Restaurant by #ScottPerez #MartinSheridan and #JerryWalker Est. 1986 (With a Liquor License Dating back to 1896)

Owner and Founder Scott Perez; Martin Sheridan and Jerry Walker also started it and own it equally and we look forward to meeting them another day
Peachy, Scott and General Manager Jamie Torres
Befriend downtown's best burger:
It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we know Walker's, a total institution in Tribeca that pays homage to fine American cuisine that absolutely hits the spot and knocks it out of the park time after time.  They've only had a liquor license since 1896, readers!  This place was MADE for a great time, especially when you are hungry.  Walker's earns high points for the unquantifiable fun factor.  We can't tell you how people are fun: we show you and you ought to go see for yourself.  As always, pictures are unedited and the truth is Walker's is both delicious and a blast.
Walker's was first featured in 2016, and it earned a second review earlier this year.  Today, we are thrilled to announce it has joined our most elite restaurant ranking of being the newest member of Peachy's Picks. (our current list is here)  Peachy's Picks get it right the first time, the owner is there and genuinely cares and quite often they exceed your expectations: no easy feat in Manhattan, the land of discriminating taste.  Speaking of which, Ms. Uberpicky still says at Walker's the water is beautiful, complete with lemon wedges.
They have fourteen beers on top and John Harty, above, is the bar manager and has been at Walker's for 25 years.  Leonard Spencer, below, is a 32-year veteran of Walker's and he runs the beer program and is a bartender.  Of course, that's Scott on the right.  You don't have to drink alcohol to be fun or enjoy yourself and Walker's crafts their own authentic lemonade and the bartenders will make bespoke mocktails on the spot just for you.
St. Louis, Missouri native Scott Perez tells us the late Horace Bernstein, an original daytime bartender said of Walker's, "New customers are made to feel old and old customers are made to feel new." We quite concur and Scott also tells us Walker's is like the living room of their customers for dinner, drinks and entertainment because everyone lives in small spaces here in Manhattan.
We did a little bit of extra research to discover Scott's secret weapon, his son Henry, above, who boasts a Cornell degree in Agriculture.  That's Ivy League, readers.  Henry has been a runner here for the last four summers and Gabriel Boker, below, has been a server for the past two years and they have excellent hospitality skills, attitudes, smiles and panache.  We absolutely always only work with brand owners, so when we are raving about GM's like Jamie and servers too, you know the place is truly stellar.
The culinary fireworks began with the Potato Latkes served with a triumph of smoked salmon.  Chives and sour cream also come to the party and it is gorgeous, darlings.  Eat it.  Roasted Brussels Sprouts make vegetables great again, especially when you consider the fabulous buttermilk ranch dip which is superior to many salad dressings.  You'll adore it.
The Cobb Salad is a popular dish and it's evident why: perfectly cubed grilled chicken, fresh mixed greens, ripe tomato and coveted bacon party with a hard boiled egg that's just right, and note that blue cheese crumble is normally part of this except you know who is not close friends with blue cheese at all.  Sauteed spinach is always a great idea to accompany whatever you are having and it makes a splendid standout performance.
You absolutely must try the French Dip, second in command of the total disappearing act in Peachy's stomach.  Riveting roast beef graces a grinder roll (Connecticut people say grinder, New York people say hero, Massachusetts people say sub...maybe we should all turn French and say baguette!) and it comes with two sauce options, because at Walker's you can have your cake and eat it too.  Both the Horseradish Sour Cream and the Au Jus were truly phenomenal and how often do you see Peachy raving about sauces?!  Nearly never.  You can get it with french fries, roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes or a salad and we got a salad with ranch on the side, which was just terrific.
We cannot say enough about the Cheeseburger: it was perfection this time.  It won first item totally gone in Peachy's stomach.  Scott tells us that it's a best-seller and they use a flat top for it which sears the flavor in, and we chose roasted potatoes to come to the party which they roast every day at Walker's.  The juiciness and flavor of this cheeseburger is absolutely superior and for the list-makers and bean counters out there,  you missed big by not having this on your list.  Lettuce, tomato and onion plus a pickle come to the party with obviously cheese: we picked succulent cheddar.  And, it was perfectly medium rare the first time, as you can see above.
Shrimp Scampi is still the favorite of Peachy Deegan and just like her (she's just over five feet), it towers above the rest.  Its supreme perfectly seared shrimp excellence will ravish your palate with its lemon butter sauce absolutely waltzing in linguine.
It's so good sometimes people have enthusiasm that supersedes patience for the flash to go off.
Roasted Half Chicken hits the spot and we think it will be even more popular in the coming fall months.  Mashed potatoes, sauteed spinach and lemon butter sauce are classics that are universally appealing, and if you are a Vegan rather than a Deegan, the Grain Bowl is the best vegetarian option at Walker's, who has something for everyone.  Lemon vinaigrette is the base here for warm quinoa and farro, roasted red and yellow peppers, asparagus, cauliflower, maitake mushrooms, and hard boiled egg.
If you've got hunger pains,
Your stomach don't feel good
Who you gonna call?
Scott's Walker's!
(Sorry Martin and Jerry, your name's not one syllable.)
Yup, Ghostbusters is across the street and you can combat your hunger with basically the entire menu at Walker's.
Also, it's nice to know they have crayons and that's always fun if you are at least 2-no age limit.  We always love a well-lit bathroom and if Edward Tricomi just did your hair you'd want to look in the mirror all the time too.  It goes without saying that the bathroom is clean-we don't eat anywhere if it isn't, nevermind go back to the place.
