In fact, we knew him before he was a dentist and were singing his praises from 2006 on the day he opened and have been ever since, including the whole 15 and a half years of our site and counting. In June of 2009, we first raved about the whitening process at Cosmopolitan Dental and all of you know a few thousand posts later just how dirty Peachy's teeth have gotten with all foods and drinks of color. We wanted to restore sparkle!
Whitening your teeth is a lasting investment in your style and the whiter, the better! The results are the visual equivalent of your teeth stepping out of the Diamond District except the Diamond District of TEETH is not on 47th Street: it's right at Cosmopolitan Dental at 30 East 40th Street! We highly recommend the brightening experience at Cosmopolitan Dental and to allow you to understand the process, Peachy is going to tell you exactly what happened to her to achieve the whitest and brightest smile in Manhattan. Peachy has no tooth issues at all and has been going to Cosmopolitan Dental every six months since it opened.
Pre-appointment planning is necessary: You must be in the mood to take a bit of a nap while you are being brightened and Peachy Deegan highly recommends bringing your phone. The process varies from patient to patient depending on how white or stained your teeth originally are.
Cosmpopolitan Dental will match your teeth to one of twentysomething samples to determine the current color of your teeth, which in turn determines the proper bleach to use to get your teeth to the proper ultimate whiteness. They will also ask your opinion, but Peachy's opinion is to defer to Garo because he is the expert and you can see the unedited results above.
This is a science, and this aspect of the process is just one example of why going to a professional makes all the difference. If you buy over-the-counter whitestrips, which Peachy Deegan has tried in the past, there is no comparison in the process or the result, more importantly. Using whitestrips is like taking a shower with a cottonball. Going to Cosmopolitan Dental to get your teeth whitened is like going to a spa for a shower getting every treatment available done.
Your mouth will be opened with a mouth opener so your teeth are quite visible and accessible for the procedure, and a bit of cotton will be packed into your cheeks. Every safety precaution is taken to protect your dental health. Then Cosmopolitan Dental will shine a blue light on your teeth after painting on the bleach.
Next is naptime. If you highlight your hair, this is kind of like when you sit under the dryer with the aluminum foil on for that. For up to four 15-minute intervals, you will sit under the Zoom! blue light. Pretend you are at the beach. They will check on you continuously to see how you are doing and will only do all four if you are comfortable. After a rinse off, it was time for "Mirror Mirror on the Wall, who has the Whitest Smile of them all?" and it is Peachy Deegan of course! Thank you Garo. Of course, after the procedure you cannot come in contact with dark staining substances such as red wine, coffee, cola, etc. and Peachy ate and drank colorless everything for three whole days after.
