Every year we look back at the year and tell you what was the best. Here's the Best of 2024 so far.
Today, we looked back at all the times we have been to The Produce Show, a top-notch trade-only event in New York in the busiest time of year, December~!
The success of this show in our experience started with the genius of David Sasuga, who told us about it in the first place. After he retired, we were most impressed with Sunkist and John Slagel, a superstar for Sunkist plus he knows hockey. Jodean Robbins Duarte, below at the cocktail party with Peachy, has run the show so well from where we sit for the entire duration and in nearly 30,000 posts the only other person that has run a trade show as well as Jodean is Phyllis Rein (FSNYE), pictured here. 2024 was a continuation of the past success of previous years and surely Jim Prevor is looking down proudly. Right now, Whom You Know is in the process of presenting review opportunities to the owners of the best brands that were at this show, and the successful brands post-review will as always be published upon in the future. In our nearly 16-year history, we have published on thousands of restaurants and hundreds of food brands and alcohol brands, and our newest culinary column, Sensational Salads, celebrates the very best Peachy's Picks who showcase their produce with style and nutrition better than their competition. Who knows, maybe they will read about a brand we discovered here and you'll find it in your next salad...
Put December 3, 2025 on your planner for next year and we look forward to the next Produce Show! We think this should be twice a year, also at the beginning of the summer, obviously only in Manhattan.
