Peachy absolutely adored the Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli with Black Truffle Cream Sauce
It's never been who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and certainly we know Bella Blu created by owner Enrico Prioietti! It first earned a review in Terrific Takeout in 2011 and graduated to Peachy's Picks in 2011 and finally we returned to experience their total excellence which will wow you in fantastic fashion. We were graciously welcomed.
In 1996 before it opened, Bella Blu had its inside al fresco painted by artist Antonio Romano, and you can see his hand on the wall in the front. It's a gorgeous blue inside, hence the name. The beautiful, humungous plant at the bar is changed every week and is wonderful for atmosphere.
There are eight salad choices, which we applaud. We want to see more amazing salads everywhere! We narrowed it down to two. First, above, befriend Tropicale con Cuori di Palma, Avocado, Peperoni Arrostiti e Mais, with lemon dressing. The red cabbage in particular was laudable here, and in both salad cases they listened and put the dressing on the side as we requested and all elements were properly well-cut. Below, meet the Verdurine Bella Blu a Forno a Legna. Of course, all the Italian names are clearly defined in English. Brick oven chopped roasted vegetables rejoice with red wine vinaigrette, and the fresh corn was commendable in particular.
Classic meatballs, 100 percent beef, are a solid performer under antipasti. They boast authenticity and richness that you'll be happy with. The best component of the whole review without a doubt was the Mezzelune di Ricotta e Spinaci alla Crema Tartufata. Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli with Black Truffle Cream sauce is one of the best items Peachy has eaten anywhere at all in 2025 so far. The sauce is a victory in itself. Both pastas we tried are made fresh from scratch. It's obvious in the superior flavor and texture and overall outstanding experience evidencing exactly why this venue has thrived since 1996.
We are huge pistachio enthusiasts and find them to be a highly underrepresented menu item across the board everywhere. Have no fear at Bella Blu: they shine in Panzerotti di Cardiofi con Pistacchi, Burro e Salvia. Artichoke ravioli with pistachios, butter and sage present an elevated unique experience that makes Bella Blu a winner. Free-range Cornish Hen is pan-seared and successfully joined by roasted potatoes, broccoli rabe and mustard, a tantalizing sauce that is just enough without overdoing it. Well done!
Prepared exactly as we asked, medium, Salmone alla Griglia con Verdure saltate in Salsa di Agrumi was truly sensational and sublime. It's a nice piece of fish and not some wimpy sliver like lesser places might serve you that we would never publish on. The fish not only is a good size but it is also high-quality with the flavor spectrum hitting all the high notes. Grilled Atlantic Salmon arrives with organic baby vegetables that sing a perfect backup. Sauteed spinach in garlic and oil is a must to join any meal at Bella Blu!
As it was beyond freezing outside, we sipped on their Finest Sencha Green Tea and that's the truth: we sip green tea for health and to warm up but this one actually tasted great! Finally, everyone knows Peachy is a huge apple pie enthusiast and is super all-American; to that end, the similar Apple Tart is fresh and homemade on premises with golden delicious apples that you'll love.
Bella Blu continues to be Highly Recommended and we promise to go back much sooner than in 14 years next time!
